HOW TO SCAN DOCUMENTS TO YOUR COMUTER

Using the existing school copiers to scan your documents and make PDFs of

worksheets and documents. You need to know your room number. Those on the

first floor are wired for the first floor copier and those on the second are wired for

the second floor copier. (YOUR ROOM COMPUTER SHOULD BE ON AND YOU

SHOULD BE LOGGED IN.)

Step 1

Press Scan Button

STEP 2

Press Scan to PC

Step 3

Find your room number. The first time you push the button it

may give a communication error. Push it again it should work; if

not you may need a computer help ticket.

It may give you this screen below: If it does just find your room

number again.

Once found press enter

Should say ready to scan: Make document to be scanned is loaded and push

normal green copy (start) button.

Run back to your computer and you can find the document in possibly two places

(1) Open up your C drive (Your computer station hard drive) and it will be in

the file called scan. Files are listed by date and time. Open and save in

your class folder.

(2) Some computers have a file utility installed. In this case, when you come to your

computer you will have a message on your desktop. Just click open. You will get the

window (fig 2) Click on the latest scanned document and you can save it where you

want.
