Economic Analysis
1 Assume boiler efficiency is 95% to produce 400kw hot water need about1. Assume boiler efficiency is 95%, to produce 400kw hot water, need about 42.06m3 of 8609Kcal/Nm3 (36MJ/Nm3) natural gas;
2. Assume direct fire chiller's COP is 1.2, to produce 350kw chilled water, need about 29 04m3 of 8609Kcal/Nm3 (36MJ/Nm3) natural gas;need about 29.04m3 of 8609Kcal/Nm3 (36MJ/Nm3) natural gas;
3. If employee one boiler for 400kw hot water and one direct fired chiller for 350kw chilled water, totally needs 42.06 + 29.04m3 = 71.1m3 of natural gas;
4. Now our proposal needs 55.5m3 of 8609Kcal/Nm3 (36MJ/Nm3) natural gas only,4. Now our proposal needs 55.5m3 of 8609Kcal/Nm3 (36MJ/Nm3) natural gas only, SAVEMENT is 71.1 - 55.5 = 15.6m3 of 8609Kcal/Nm3 (36MJ/Nm3) natural gas every hour;
5. Assume factory runs this heat pump for 24 hours/day, 300 days/year, every y p p y, y y , yyear will SAVE 15.6m3/h * 24hours * 300days = 112320m3;
6. Cost of 8609Kcal/Nm3 (36MJ/Nm3) natural gas is SGD33/mmBTU, about USD0.89/Nm3, so EVERY YEAR CAN SAVE about USD0.89/Nm3 * 112320m3 = USD99964;
7. Payback time is less than 2 years.
