Manager’s Corner...
Hi Dons,
2014 = Happy 5th Birthday to the Community Coordinator program!
Five years ago the department embarked on a strategic journey and experienced drastic organizational change in the Residence Life Unit. The onset of the role the Community Coordinator was not without challenges and growing pains but has defi-nitely enhanced the support and professionalism of our program. I am so excited to celebrate the 5th birthday of this program – a real milestone – with all of you.
Please join me in congratulating the department and all RLMT members over the last 5 years on a momentous accomplishment.
Over the next several months I will be working on a report covering the last 5 years of the CC program. It will highlight the successes and challenges and will provide strategic direction for the program moving forward. I look forward to sharing the highlights of this reflection/vision exercise with the whole program.
Have a great week everyone,
Jess

Ongoing Training and
Development
Exercise! Regular exercise will help lift your overall energy levels. It will also
help you develop a routine and keep you from staying indoors all day.
Be social. Hangout with your friends. It is easy to isolate yourself, staying in bed watching movies etc. but staying social
helps boost your spirits.
Take vitamin D supplements!
Eating healthy foods and watching your sugar intake will help increase your energy levels. Don’t rely on caffeine for the energy
kick, in the long run it will wear you out.
Stay focused on your new years resolutions. Having goals to work to-
wards can be motivating and energizing.
Treat yourself. Take personal time to get away from campus and do fun things. Make
use of your weekend away and take a fun trip!
Embrace winter. Don’t fight it…its not going anywhere. Enjoy all the fun things that winter offers. Go skating,
get outside in the snow etc.
Get connected to resources. Seasonal Affective Disorder is common, so don’t be afraid to ask/get sup-port!
