Preface
This report describes the qualified trainers for the pilot courses related to train
the trainees under WP3 of the project BUILD UP Skills FORESEE (IEE/13/BWI
702/SI2.680177).
BUILD UP Skills FORESEE project is developing and implement the preparation of
training material and training trainers as well as the development of programs
and training support material for the implementation of modular qualification
scheme for professionals regarding the Vocational Education and Training (VET)
system, in order to put in practice the priority measures identified on the 2014-
2020 roadmap, delivered in the Build Up Skills I (Portugal). The BUILD UP Skills
FORESEE project has duration of 30 months starting from September 1, 2014.

1. Introduction
The set-up of training actions includes the selection of trainers, preparation of
the training actions in terms of training structures and logistics and including
also the subcontracting of the trainers, in areas that LNEG and ADENE does not
have technical expertise or facilities for practical classes. The coordination of the
WP3, Training the Trainers, was committed to LNEG and the methodology and
materials used in the pilot training courses were based on the material prepared
under WP2, coordinated by ADENE.
This deliverable presents the trainers who were responsible for training actions.
In Annex 1 the Curriculum Vitae, of trainers, can be found.
2. Trainers and training
2.1 Trainers selection
For thermal solar collector’s installation ADENE ensured the preparation of the
training support material and trainer, while LNEG, and was responsible for
Photovoltaic and Wind Systems. Concerning the other topics, as foreseen in the
Project proposal (WP2 – Task 2.4), the identification of trainers for WP3, the
process was counselled by the subcontracted entities: stakeholder’s associations
and training centres.

2.2 Trainers staff
The training actions for trainees were performed concerning the technical issues
and took place in, Lisbon and Porto, south and north of Portugal, since April
(M20) until the first week of July (M23). Table 2 identifies the trainers who were
involved in each action having been the stakeholder’s selection delineated during
the consultation and after the half day Workshop (Task 2.3), with the preparation
of the Technical Reference Terms regarding the specifications of training
materials to be provided based on the standards/curricula developed by the
Project Consortium, professional associations and industry companies.

After the completion of this process the training staff was constituted by the
experts listed, previously, in Tables 2 and 3.
As referred in Deliverable D3.1, the training concerning the Installation and
Maintenance of HVAC Systems, for training the trainees, was rescheduled to

3. Survey and training feedback
After the completion of two actions, for each training module, in Lisbon and in
Porto, LNEG and ADENE, promoted meetings with the trainers to obtain a better
overview based on the perception of the trainees and trainer’s evaluation in
order to ameliorate and adequate the training contents for the installers training,
under WP4, starting in September. There is one aspect that can be already
highlighted and that cuts across all training actions. In Lisbon all the training
modules were evaluated with a higher ranking, both in terms of trainers and
training contents.
To each trainer involved in the project, was asked a small report to reflect and to
identify ideas and best practices to ameliorate training materials and
competences in each module, incorporating suggestions and criticisms.
4. Some Remarks
It is possible to advance that there was a considerable interest in all the
training courses and the contact of trainees with companies’ with different
expertise, in the respective area, had an enormous receptivity.
After the completion of the training courses the trainers pointed out, that
trainees were aware of the importance of qualifications, in this global market
and were strongly interested and avid for learn.
