MDP
A management development program is a program initiated by a company'sleadership to train and retrain managers within the company's structure. Thisprogram can train employees in how to effectively manage other employees, gainproduct knowledge, learn negotiating, business etiquette, and filling out company-issued documents.
Management development programs differ among companies. For example, a carrental agency may hire a person into the management development program andrequire the employee to complete the program over the course of a year. This
employee may be required to work different jobs in the organization so that he canunderstand each job and manage employees doing different jobs. This person mayalso be required to learn about the company's business partners and suppliers.
The management development program can entail training of current employees tobecome managers, or can involve newly hired managers, who are taught the businessthrough the management development program.
Includes aspects like-
Conceptual, technical, communication, management skills
