Why China Thinks They Own Tibet.

When China and Tibet were incorporated, Into the Kublai Khans empire,

The Chinese government claims that the union formed at that time was never legally broken;

Therefore, Tibet the smaller of the two countries has a legal obligation to become absorbed into china.

Why Tibetans think they should be free

They resent the violation imposed on them in the past 40 years

They resent the destruction of the tibetan culture

They feel they are given the rights by internal law to maintain their government

they resent that their is quarter to a half a million troops in tibet.

there are Tibet people being tortured and killed.

120,000 tibetans have fled the country risking their lives for uncertain lives as refugees in india nepal and elsewhere.

china has developed limited tourism in parts of tibet where some rebuilding has taken place.

The tibetans are opposed to chinese rule for a number of reasons

First the tibetans resent the violation rights imposed on them for the past 40 years by the chinese government

They also resent the chinese for destroying the tibetan culture

tibetans also feel that they are given the right by international law to maintain their government and that,

by the chinese imposing their rule upon tibet china is in direct violation of international law
