Do you love Minecraft? Did you know that you can use Minecraft to recreate some of the most fascinating architectural structures from around the world? Well, you can in this class! We will begin by researching various structures from around the world and getting to know the history behind the building of it. Then, you will work either individually or with a partner to develop a blueprint of your structure. Once your blueprint is completed, you will be able to start building your scale model using Minecraft. At the end, you will create a small presentation of your building structure explaining its history, creation, and your final scale model. You’ll be ready to build the next Eiffel Tower in no time!!!

The Boxtrolls, Paranorman, Coraline and Nightmare Before Christmas have one thing in common they are all filmed using Stop Motion Animation. We will learn this technique using basic household items, and add music and narration. At the end of the week we will have a screening of our new movie shorts!

If you were suddenly stranded in the wilderness, would you be able to survive? What would you eat? How would you stay warm? What would you do for protection? As a team, you will work to solve survival scenarios based on real world situations. Scenarios will include general survival, urban, desert/arid, tropical, and eastern U.S. woodlands. You will be immersed in the scenario and given dilemmas and problems that you must solve using research, creativity, imagination, teamwork and field craft skills taught by your instructor, a U.S. Army Veteran.
