News BitsOmaha Screening Facility

Don’t forget, Celerion has an Omaha screening facility located near 77th and Dodge Streets. The Omaha facility is used to conduct screening and physical appointments for participants prior to their study check in. Occasionally the site is also used to complete study returns for participants from the Omaha and surrounding areas. If you are interested in screening in Omaha instead of Lincoln, call our recruiting department (800-609-7297) to see what screening opportunities we have available.

New Automated Confirmations!Automated Screening Appointment Confirmations is another improvement that has been made since the rollout of our new recruiting system, Pivotal. Participants will now receive email notifications to confirm screening appointments. These notifications will provide all the information needed for a screening appointment (dates, times, restrictions), AND participants will be able to automatically confirm their screening appointment by simply clicking the “Confirm” button in the email.

New Participant WebsiteIf you have visited our website (www.helpresearch.com) within the past few months you have probably noticed some HUGE changes! Changes for the better! Late last fall Celerion underwent a migration from our old website to a new innovative look and feel that is more interactive and informative for our participants. From our new website you will be able to learn more about Celerion, tour our “What is a Clinical Trial” page to see what is involved in a study, visit our “Locations” page to learn about all 4 of our sites (Neptune NJ, Lincoln NE, Phoenix AZ, and Belfast, Northern Ireland), and visit our “Participant Stories” page where you can read testimonials from REAL participants!

All of this is great, but the big enhancement comes with our new “Find a Clinical Study” page. On this page you are able to research current study opportunities and pre-register for a study! Before pre-registering for your first study, you will create a web profile by selecting “create a profile” on the website. Once this is created, you will simply log back in the next time you want to check for study opportunities.

The Celerion Recruitment team is excited about our new website and we hope it enhances your experience and knowledge of clinical trials. We truly value your participation, and that is why we have gone to great lengths to improve our offerings. We welcome you to visit our website at www.helpresearch.com and look forward to seeing you at your next visit!

Hear From Our Participants

Ritchie W.

The reason I decided to start participating in medical studies at Celerion was to pay off student loans. I was also interested in learning how the medication would help after we finished the study.

My experience was very satisfying. I had the opportunity to meet with many great people; I made friends and had a chance to interact with a variety of participants from diverse backgrounds in a different and enjoyable environment.

While at the clinic I was able to watch movies, play games as a group and enjoyed everyone’s company.

I have been participating in clinical studies for 8 years now and am proud to say I have completed 35 studies. These studies allowed me to pay off my student loans so I could focus on my future goals.

Verified Clinical Trials (VCT)As most study participants are aware, you are not usually allowed to take part in more than one study at a time. Doing so can be dangerous to a person’s health and provide false study data for our clients (and ultimately you – the consumer of medication). In an effort to further ensure the safety of our study participants, Celerion recently began using a third party secure internet-based registry of clinical research subjects called Verified Clinical Trials (VCT).

VCT is used by Celerion to capture the screening and enrollment status of study participants. It helps Celerion ensure participants are not enrolling in more than one study at a time (e.g., one in Nebraska and one in Missouri), which may be harmful to them. When you come in for your screening appointment you will be given information about VCT during the informed consent process. You must consent to having your information checked in the registry in order to participate in a study with Celerion. If you have any questions about VCT or the verification process, feel free to ask a staff member during your next screening visit.

Staff SpotlightGreg L started his career with Celerion (then MDS Pharma Services) in March 2009 as our Call Center Supervisor. Since then he has moved into the clinical side of our business serving as a Clinical Conduct Team Leader from December 2010 to September 2012. Greg is currently our Clinical Conduct Manager; in this role he is responsible for overseeing all clinical conduct from staffing to procedures. That includes ensuring events run smoothly and that we have enough staff to complete the task (e.g., having enough staff to complete blood draws on a study to revising processes to ensure the blood draw is being done in the most efficient and safe manner possible).

Greg holds a Surveying Diploma from National College of Business as well as a BS Degree in Telecommunications Management from DeVry Institute of Technology in Kansas City. He has been married for 18 years and has a 5 year old daughter, Adeson and a Labrador retriever, Bogey. Greg was born in Deadwood, SD and raised in Sturgis, SD, however he has lived in 26 cities since turning 19 years of age. He stays true to his roots though and enjoys riding his Harley during his free time. Greg also enjoys pheasant and quail hunting, golfing, tennis, and watching football.
