• means “GOD-BEARER”

Immaculate Conception (1854)

• The church dogma that Mary was conceived (in her mother’s womb) without original sin and remained free of sin.

Why is it so important?

• Mary’s virginity – a SIGN of Jesus’ divinity.

• Also a SYMBOL that JESUS is the new ADAM (who was Adam’s father?)
