Renaissance Spirit By emphasizing life in this world, Industrial Revolution encouraged Europeans to seek material comfort. Inquiry paved way for invention.

Plentiful Resources – rivers, harbors, coal, iron, ore, labor
Transportation and Communication – costal trade, canals, port towns, postal service, newspapers, NAVY
