E. March 1861 -- Lincoln Takes Office

F. April 1861 -- Lincoln Faces a Problem at Fort Sumter

G. April 12th 1861 – SC Troops Take Fort Sumter

H. April 15th 1861 -- Lincoln calls for 75,000 troops (so many volunteer that some are turned away)
