Introduction

• Since ICAO FPL 2012, FPL can contain PBN and CNS information in Item 18 (in addition to information in Item 10)

• The CNS dashboard analyses FPL content (declared equipment and capability)

• All FPL available to the NMOC are available for analysis

• Thanks to an interface with the EUROCONTROL aircraft fleet database, PRISME Fleet 2, the dashboard generates both aircraft and flight reports

How to request access (1/2)

1 - Access the Extranet and log-in

4/27

How to request access (2/2)

2 – Subscribe to the CNS Dashboard (« Manage » button)

- When subscribing, a user must indicate the category of users he belongs to: ANSP, airport, CAA, Operator or other.- Additional information on the Airports (ICAO code) or Operators (3 letter code) relevant to the user will be requested.

"Public Data" and "Your Data" tabs

11/27

Filters – Introduction

• The user selects values in the Filters to create Reports (« Apply » button).• Some filters have a name starting with an asterix (*). Selecting values for

these filters is mandatory (‘Analysis’, ‘Selected month’ and ‘Aerodrome’ filters)

• « --- Select Value --- » in a filter means that no value for the filter has been selected

• « (All Column Values) » in a filter indicates that all possible values have been selected for the filter

• Warning: the dashboard is unable to generate reports in case an excessive number of values in the filters is selected.

• In « Public data » tabs, proposed filters and values are identical for all types of users

• In « Your data » tabs, proposed filters and values are a function of the user profile (see details in next slides)

12/27

Filters – CNS declared capabilities

CNS declared capability:− RNAV/PBN Capabilities: capabilities declared in FPL Item 10a− COM/NAV/APR capabilities: capabilities declared in FPL Item 18 after ‘PBN/’ designator− SUR capabilities: capabilities declared in FPL Item 10b

13/27

Filters – Analysis & Period

Types of Analysis:– Global analysis : evolution over time – Airport analysis : view per airport– Operator analysis : view per Operator– Aircraft type analysis (*) : view per Aircraft types

Period: 1 or several consecutive months (from JAN 2013)

(*) ‘Aircraft type’ analysis is available to Operators, CAA and Admin users only

14/27

Filters – Airports, Operations and Operators

Airports: Departure or Arrival airports as declared in FPLOperations: ‘Arrivals only’, ‘Departures only’ or ‘Arrival and Departures’Operators (*): from the Operator codes indicated in FPL

(*) not available in « Public data » tabs where the identity of operators is protected

15/27

Filters – Aircraft type

Aircraft type details:– “Make / Model / Series” or “ICAO type”– “Aircraft age bands” in the “flights” tab only

Note: ‘Series’ & ‘ICAO type’ available only to Operators, CAA and admin users in « Flights (Your data) » tab

16/27

Filters – « display » options

2 “display” options have an impact on the information contained in the Reports generated by the dashboard. Details are available on Slides #19.

17/27

« Last applied Filters »

- The “Last applied filters” indicate the values taken into account in the Reports displayed in the tab. - Filters set to “(All column values)” will not be highlighted.

Warning:In “Your Data” tabs, the list of values taken into account when selecting “(All column values)” will be different for each user. For example and for a national ASNP, “(All column values)” for the Aerodromes filter will correspond to all aerodromes in the country.A note at the bottom of “Last applied filters” raises the attention of the user on this point:

Reports - Introduction

• Statistics generated by the CNS dashboard are called “Reports”• Reports are either available in 2 formats: graphics and tables• Reports are provided in pairs: “absolute” (left) and “relative” graphs (right)• Graphs and tables can be “Refreshed”, “Printed” or “Exported” (e.g. in

Excel) using the relevant links

Tables

19/27

Reports and « display » options

• 2 “display” options: “Show All Flights” and “Show Top 10”:

- These options impact the amount of information provided in the Reports (not the Statistics themselves)

- “Show All Flights” adds one more entry in the “absolute” reports only (the total number of flights/aircraft)

- “Top 10” is based on the total number of flights/aircraft

Reports are generated according the “Analysis” selected in the Filter (Slide #13):

Warning: some users will have only a subset of these reports available (see next slides)

• “Your Data” tabs (nominative data, targeted to the user):

Airport user: all reports down to ‘Operators’ for its own airport(s)

ANSP user: all reports down to ‘Operators’ for all airports in the country

Airline user: all reports down to ‘Aircraft Types’ for its own airline(s)

CAA user: all reports for flights from/to airports in its own country.

 Admin users: all reports

Users outside of these categories will access “Public Data” only

Generic functionalities of Dashboards

• The CNS dashboard is based on an Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) product

• Typical OBIEE functionalities are therefore available to users; through the « Page Options » (icon at the top right of the window)

• The following functions are of particular interest:

– « save current customisation » and « apply saved customisation » so that frequently used filters’ settings can be saved and reused again.

– « print » and « export » so that Reports can be exported all at once.

• A link to the Oracle® Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Help is available at the top of the window
