Background to Project
The Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) Sector Skills Plan (SSP) has identified through its stakeholder consultation process the need for e-Learning implementation in the sector
It is against this background that the W&RSETA seeks to undertake research on an e-Learning model as one of the mechanisms of facilitating skills development in the Wholesale and Retail Sector.

Project Purpose
The main purpose is to promote flexibility in the delivery and accessibility to learning.

Scope of Work
The scope of the project includes but is not limited to:
1. Research conducted must provide practical guidelines to the following:-• Set out an appropriate, effective , efficient and internationally benchmarked model of an e-Learning system that will be suitable for the W&RSETA programmes and stakeholders • Propose policy guideline that will inform the establishment of the W&RSETA e-Learning
framework• Propose guidelines for the development of qualifications, accreditation of providers, learning
programme approval and assessment centre accreditation in line with e-Learning best practice
• Propose a management and maintenance framework of the system• Develop guidelines for the monitoring of e-Learning linked to best practice
