Thank you so much for wanting to spend some time getting to know our most favourite technology tools. Think of this as a buffet

We’d like to begin by introducing ourselves and our program.

Hi my name is Zachery. I’m in grade 6 and I’ve been in the Techdude class for three years.

Hi my name is Alyson .I am in grade 6 and I have also been a Techdude for 3 years .

Hi my name is Mason. I'm in Grade 5I have been a Techdude for 2 Years.

Hi I’m Katie. I’m 10. I’m in grade 5. I have been a Techdude for 2 years.

Hi my name is Mohammed. I am a Techdude. I am 10. I was a Techdude for 1 year. I am in grade 5. I am from Dubai.

My name is Leyton. This is my first year as a Techdude and I am in grade 4.

Hi my name is James. I’m 9. It is my first year .

Hi! I’m Stacey Falconer. I’ve been in a self contained class for students with learning disabilities for 7 years now. I have no technology background. I have learned along the way with help from the students. Rather than let other people define our program, we dubbed ourselves “The Techdudes” to help capture our strengths and highlight for other teachers and staff the importance of technology in learning.

A Little Background

L - “my old school was harder because everything was on paper!”

Z “I was lonely and afraid to go to school. I got bullied. Teachers forgot about me because I could never do the work. I felt invisible. I tried being a bully. My life changed when I met the Techdudes!”

J - “I had fun and I liked it but everyone got annoyed with me because I played too much.”

M - “I got into a lot of trouble. “Mo - “I didn’t feel like working. I got into a lot of fights.”

A - “School was dreadful. I hid a lot because I didn’t understand. I started hiding my face with my hair. I was always sad.”

K - “ I could never catch up so people would be mean to me and leave me out. I always sat by myself and they would all go together to birthday parties. I even had the door closed on my face like I didn’t matter.”
