APPLICATIONPROCESS1. PREPARECleanthesurfacesthoroughly.ThesurfacetobetreatedshouldbeproperlycleanedbeforeAQUA-XTM33isapplied.Thesurfaceshouldbefreeofdirt,oil,contaminants,andanyothersubstancethatcouldinterferewiththesealerpenetratingthesurfaceasintended.2. TESTPerformasmalltestarea(atleast2sq.ft.)usingtheproducttoensuresuitabilityandthedesiredresultspriortofullapplication.Testforapplicationcoveragerate.Usethesamepreparation,equipmentandconditionsexpectedduringtheentireapplication.Duetothewidevarietyofsubstrates,preparationmethods,applicationmethodsandenvironments,thecustomershouldtesttheproductinaninconspicuousspotforpenetrationandcompatibilitypriortofullapplication. 3.ApplicationEnsurepropersurfaceconditions.Priortoapplication,thesurfaceshouldbecompletelydryforbestresults.Thesurfacetemperatureshouldbebetween30-120°F(-1-49°C),anditshouldbemaintainedfor12hoursfromthestartofapplication.Donotapplybelow40°F(4°C)orabove95°F(35°C).Iffreezingconditionsexistbeforeapplication,letthesurfacethaw.Thewatercarriermayfreezeatlowtemperaturesorevaporateinhotconditions.Bothconditionsimpairpenetrationandresults.Donotapplyifrainisexpectedwithin3hours.Donotdiluteoralterthisproduct.Usetheproperequipment.Werecommendahigh-pressurepump-uporbattery-typesprayerwitha0.5GPMfan-tiptoproduceaproperspraypattern.Alternatively,a3/8"to3/4"naprollercanbeused.

Generally,applyonecoatofApplyAQUA-XTM33withlow-pressuresprayequipment(15psi),orwithapaintroller.Useafantypespraynozzleforbestuniformresults.Avoidatomizationofmaterial.Onverticalsurfaces,applythematerialfromthebottomofthewallupwardssprayingsothatitwillrundownthesurfaceatleastsixinchesbelowthespraypattern.Ifasecondcoatisrequired,muchlessmaterialwillbeneeded.Onhorizontalsurfaces,saturateinasingleapplication.Useenoughmaterialtokeepthesurfacewetfor3-4minutesbeforeAQUA-XTM33completelypenetratesthesurface.Caution:Smoothorbackrollanyproductthatpuddlesonthesurface.Densesurfaceswillonlyrequireasingleapplication.Useenoughsealertocompletelywetthesurfacewithoutcreatingdrips,puddlesorrundown.Donotoverapply.Typically,thesurfacecanbereopenedtotrafficinonehour,ifthetemperatureisat72°F(33°C)orabove.Surfaceshouldbevisiblydry.

AQUA-XTM33reachesoptimalwater-repellentpropertiesin72hoursafterapplication.4. CLEANUPPlaceanyunusedsealerbackintooriginalcontainertostoreforfutureusewithin12monthsofmanufacturedate.Cleanequipmentthoroughlyuntilfreeofsealerresidue.Sealerwillstainclothing,butcanberemovedfromskinwithamildcleaner.Storeandhandleproperly.Donotlettheproductfreeze;anddisposeofproperlyifitisallowedtofreeze.Pleasenote:WastefromthisproductisnothazardousasdefinedundertheResourceConservationandRecoveryAct(RCRA)40CFR261.Incinerateinapprovedfacility.Donotincinerateclosedcontainer.DisposeofinaccordancewithFederal,State/Provincial,andLocalregulationsregardingpollution.

5. MAINTAINRemoveoilandotherfluidsfromthesealedsurfaceassoonaspossibleusingamildcleaningagent,suchasTHEBOSSTM.Ifthetreatedsurfacebecomescontaminatedwithdirt,dust,pollen,orothersubstances,itwillimpedethevisualwaterbeadingeffect.Simplypressurewashthesurfacetoremovethecontaminatesandtheproductwillcontinuetorepelmoisture.Generally,alightpressurewashisallthatisrequired.Ifacleanerisneeded,werecommendusingTHEBOSS™cleaner.Donotuseharshchemicals(e.g.,paintthinners,strippers,solvents)onthesealedareas.
