Strengths: United Nations Goals and Worldwide governmental awareness. Multiple programs including the World Meteorological Organization. Individual countries are making changes in legislation and offering aide to other countries. Increasing global awareness of sustainability Issues.
Opportunities: CO2 capture technology development. Wind turbine technologies and other sustainable technologies. Marine Wildlife reserve expansion. Clean water legislation and control worldwide. Focus on global hunger, education, agricultural development worldwide. Education worldwide on the issues.
Weakness: Lack of educational programs that bring the issues to the forefront for the general population. The downturn in the global economy diverting governmental energies. The lack of sense of global urgency.
Threats: International corruption, economic instability. Geocentric behaviors of governments. Wars and Natural Disasters.
