    shu (BL 23) and Qihaishu (BL 24) for weak.ness of b ck and waist; The needles were lifted,thrusted and twirled to make needling sensationswith technique of mild tonification and reduc-tion. The needles were retained for about ,15minutes and manipulated 2-3 times during theretaining time. The courses C f treatment werethe same as that of Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture.

    (2) Clinical effect of Zhu's Scalp Acupunc-ture on recovering phase of apoplexy wasmar~edly better than that on sequela phase. Thelonger the course of apoplexy. the worse theclinical effect. So apoplexy should be treated asearly as possible.

    (3) Under the author's observation. mostcases of hemorrhagic apoplexy were more severethan cases of ischemic apoplexy, so clinical effl.'cof the former wasn't as good as that of the latterbut there hadn't marked difference betweenthem. Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture was effectiveI'..
