The Orlando Mayor’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission strengthens our community by promoting Dr. King’s legacy of
equality, justice, peace, respect, and inclusion for all.
MLK Commission Highlights • 700+ volunteers participated in donating 2,500 hours during
Great Day of Service projects, held in all 6 City of Orlando Districts • Programming impacted over 25,000 Central Florida residents • Funded 17 community events celebrating Dr. King's legacy
and promoted 10 additional events • 23 OCPS High School students were recognized and celebrated as the Mayor’s
Humanitarians who exemplify the ideals of Dr. King
