Steuma ND OLRProcess refractometer
The Steuma ND-OLR is a process refractometer which measures the concentrations of process liquids, as e.g. the quantity of sugar dissolved in water, the vol% mineral oil in water etc.The Steuma ND-OLR must be installed in a by-pass (12mm tubing) of a process line or tank.
The Steuma ND-OLR measures concentrations based on the re-fractive index of an infrared light beam going from a sapphire prism into the process liquid. The unique optical principle of the Steuma ND-OLR is patented.The Steuma ND-OLR has a sensitivity of up to one thousandth of a per cent and is highly stable. This results in a high level of precision of the measured concentration.An optional continuous ultrasonic cleaning systems prevents any coating of product on the surface of the measuring prism not add-ing water, steam or any chemicals into the process liquid.
The measured refractive index and liquid temperature are sent to the analyser monitor, the Steuma Master.
With these values the Steuma Master calculates the concentration using the patented 3d-calibration matrix. During calibration of the instrument this matrix has been defined by the refractive index of the process liquid in dependence of the liquid temperature.

Food and Beverage: measuring soft drinks and juices, beer, apple-sauce, syrups, alcohol-distillation processes, etc.Chemical and Petrochemical: Teflon plunge bath, PVA, ammonia, cooling -and lubrication liquids, gelatines, urea, DMAC, etc.
