Steps To Install Oracle Client 12.2.1.0 On Windows  

1. Log into to your windows machine as the oracle user (if you have created a new account for the oracle user. You could also use your current user account for the installation. Be sure you have administrative privileges on this account.

2. Go to the oracle website to download the Oracle 12.2.0.1.0 client. Click here

3. Select the Microsoft Windows (x64) version of the oracle client if your windows machine is a 64bit OR Microsoft Windows (32-bit) version if your machine is a 32-bit.

4. You will be redirected to the oracle sign on page. Enter your oracle username/password to download the file.

5. Go to the folder where you downloaded the file on your machine.

6. Unzip the file and it should look as shown below.

7. Select the Client folder to see its contents and click on the setup.exe file to launch OUI

8. Select Administrator. Click Next.

9. Select Use Windows Built-in Account. Click Next.

10. Enter the path to the directory you want to install the client or use the default for oracle.

11. Oracle verifies that your windows machines meets the requirements for the installation.

12. Select Install to start the installation of the Client

13. Monitor the process of the installation until it completes successfully.

14. Select Close.
