Step 4. How to check specifications of nozzles
Before starting creating pipe and branch you have to know Specs (Specification) of pipe and
branch as well. If you don’t know you can check. Currently we know that branch ends are nozzles.
Let’s check specifications of nozzles.
Let’s check which module currently is activated. From main menu Design….
Pipework is Gray. It means current module is Pipework. To get any info of equipment or its parts
you have to go to module Equipment. From main menu DesignEquipment. Activate Model
editor. Select required equipment and do right click and select Edit equipment.

you are editing current equipment. Select required nozzle.
From main menu select ModifyNozzle Specifications.
As you can see
pressure is 150lb
nominal bore – 150 mm
Let’s check second nozzle. We must exit editing mode of current to start edit part of other equipment.
Do right click on current equipment and select Exit Equipment editor.

Let’s check specs for second nozzle. Select nozzle and from main menu select ModifyNozzle
Specifications.
As you can see
pressure is 150lb
nominal bore – 150 mm
It means they have same pressure and same diameter. Diameter is not problem we can use
somewhere in branch reducer or increaser. But pressure and other specs have to same otherwise you
will get message incompatibility as shown bellow during constructing components to branch. Do
right click on current equipment and select Exit Equipment editor. This all of them required to
prevent error messages and to make job properly. After we will try to make a bit complicated pipe.
