Lateness to school and tutorwill not be tolerated!!!

You need to be at your tutor room for 8.45am.

Lateness to school= 15 minutes detentionat lunchtime

2 lates in a week = Letter home

3 lates in a week = 1 hour detention

Uniform Pupils need to look smart when in school

and within the community. 

No Extreme Hair Styles

Any hair colours / highlights should be natural shades or combinations

of natural shades

Appearance Girls and boys may wear one pair of small plain gold/silver studs in the lobe of the ear. No other

jewellery is allowed. Facial piercings are not allowed.

Make-up, false eyelashes, nail varnishare not allowed.

Coloured scarves, football scarves, football hats or baseball caps are not allowed on school premises.

The school scarf and hat are available fromStudent Services in school.

Essential EquipmentYour tutor will check every day that you have:– a school bag– a pencil case (pen, pencil, ruler, rubber, pencil

sharpener)– your homework diary.

Teachers will not be providing pens.

We want to create organised, independent

young people.

Pencil Cases

You can buy a pencil case for £1.50 from Student Services in school.

You will be expected to rent a pencil case for the day if you do not bring one to

school

ACE POINTSThe ACE point system stands for ACHIEVEMENT, CITIZENSHIP and EFFORT. It is designed to encourage, recognise and reward those students who have shown that they are good Witton Park Academy Citizens.

ACE Points are collected on a half-termly basis and are awarded for the following reasons:•Outstanding achievement in lesson •Outstanding effort in lesson •Contribution to the community •Helping others

Each ACE Point is an entry into the half-termly lottery in which fabulous prizes can be won.

• Good attendance is a pre-requisite for a successful school career. There is a strong link between attendance and attainment and a student who fails to attend school regularly cannot hope to achieve their full potential.

• Attendance is a high priority at Witton Park Academy and we expect all our students to aim for an attendance percentage of at least 97%.
