Mauro Giuliani• Born in 1781 at Bisceglie, Italy• 1806 moved toVienna• 1815 concert tours in Europe with the pianist JosephNepomuk Hummel, the violinist Joseph Mayseder and the cellist Joseph Merk, in a series of chamber concerts “Dukaten Concerte”• 8 December 1813, he had played cello in an orchestra for the first performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No.7 • 1826 Duo concert with his daughter Emilia, who had become a skilled performer on the guitar• Died in Neples on 8 May 1829• Works 150 Compositions for guitar
