Smart Systems in Pig Production

“Machine learning is probably the most important fundamental trend in technology today.”

“… the foundation of machine learning is data - lots and lots of data”

With machine learning, instead of writing rules, you give examples (lots of examples) to a statistical engine, and that engine generates a model that can tell the difference. You give it 100,000 pictures labelled ‘cat’ and 100,000 labelled ‘no cat’ and the machine works out the difference.

Farmer’s Assistant — a

machine learning-based tracker and app.

“This validates our core thesis that farmers don’t care about data; they care about insights. The sensor is not the center of our universe. We don’t consider ourselves to be a wearable company; we are a farmer assistant product, and we also integrate with farm data. The wearable sensor is just one source for us; our AI capabilities are what our customers like.”
