InstallationStep 1. Pre-Drill Wall for Mounting

A. For Mounting on a Stud WallA-1. PlacetheWallPlateonthewallinthedesiredpositionforthedisplay.

A-2. Markthemountingholelocationsoverthewallstuds.

A-3. Pre-drill4holesintotwowoodstudsusinga1/4”drillbit.Besuretodrillintothecenterofthestudsatleast3-1/2”deep.Theuseofastudfinderishighlyrecommended.

Step 2. Mount the Wall Bracket AssemblyA-1. Insert2LagBolts(U)with2LagBoltWashers(V)intothetopholesoranchors(W)inthe

wall,andlooselytighten,allowingforclearancefortheWallPlate.(Figure3)

A-2. Withtheorientationmarking(UpArrow)ontop,placetheWallPlateonthewall,aligningitwiththetopLagBoltsinthewall.

A-3. Slidethewallplateintoposition,andinsert2LagBolts(U)with2LagBoltWashers(V)intothebottom2holesoranchors(W).(Figure4)

A-4. Tightenallthebolts.

B-1. PlacetheWallPlateonthewallinthedesired

positionforthedisplay.

B-2. Markthelocationoftheholesonthewall.

B-3. Pre-drillholesintoconcreteusing5/16”drillbitstoadepthof31/2”.InsertconcreteWallAnchors(W)andtapinwithhammer,ifnecessary(Figures1&2).

B. For Mounting on a Concrete Wall• WARNING: When installing wall bracket on cinder block:

Verify first that you have a minimum of 1-3/8” of concrete thickness to be used for the concrete anchors.

• Donotdrillintomortarjoints!Besuretomountinasolidpartoftheblock,generally1”minimumfromthesideoftheblock.

• CinderblockmustmeetASTMC-90specifications.

• Itissuggestedthatastandardelectricdrillonslowsettingisusedtodrilltheholeinsteadofahammerdrilltoavoidbreakingoutthebackoftheholewhenenteringavoidorcavity.

• Concretemustbe2000psidensityminimum.Lighterdensityconcretemaynotholdanchors.

• Makesurethatthesupportingsurfacewillsafelysupportthecombinedloadoftheequipmentandallattachedhardwareandcomponents.

Drill holes andinsert anchors.

Place wall armassembly plate

over anchor andsecure with

bolt.

Tighten allbolts.

WARNING: Tighten bolts so that wall plate is firmly attached, but do not over tighten. Over tightening can damage the bolts, greatly reducing their holding strength.

Step 3. Attach the Arm Assembly to the Wall Plate

A. LowertheArmAssemblyontotheWallPlatealigningwiththebottomrail.(Figure5)

B. AligntheArmAssemblywiththetoprail,andslidetheArmAssemblyintopositionwhileloweringtheMountingBlockTop.(Figure5)

C. SlidetheArmAssemblyLefttoRightuntilitisplacedinthelocationonthewallmount,usuallycenteredontheWallPlate.

D. SecurethetopoftheArmAssemblybytighteningthe2RoundHeadHexScrewsusingtheS4AllenKey(AB).(Figure6)

E. SecurethebottomoftheArmAssemblybyplacingtheBottomMountingBlock(AA)infrontofthebottomrailontheplate,andtightenthe2CounterSunkHexScrews(Z)usingtheS4AllenKey(AB).(Figure7)

F. OncetheArmAssemblyissecured,theWallBracketEndCoverscanbeinstalledtothetopandbottomofthewallBracket.

Step 4. Attach TV Plate to DisplayA. Withtheorientationmarking(UpArrow)towards

thetopoftheTV,placetheTVPlateonthebackofdisplayaligningtheuprightbarswiththemountingholesonthedisplay.(Figure8A)

B. Iftheholesdonotalign:

B-1. Removethescrewsfromtheverticalbars,andslidethebarsuntiltheyalignwiththemountingholesonthedisplay.Theverticalbarscontainindicatorsforcommonpatternsthatcanbeusedtoeasilysetthespacingofthehorizontalbars.

Note: ThebackofthehorizontalbarshavemarkingsthatfollowVESApatternhorizontalincrementsfrom300to800.(Figure8B)

B-2. Re-Insertthescrewsremovedinstep4B-1,andtighten.

ForlargerTVs,theSM-RAZOR-ART2-XLcontainsextensionbracketsthatcanbeusedtoextendtheverticalbarstofitlargerTVs.(Figure9)

C. Insertsuitablescrews(AtoP)throughthewashers(SorT),andtheuprightbarsintothebackofthedisplay,andtighten.Fordisplayswithrecessedmountingholes,spacers(QorR)canbeusedbetweenthedisplayandtheTVPlate.

Step 5. Attaching the Display to the Arm AssemblyA. Liftthedisplayandplaceitontheendofthe

ArmAssemblyhookingittothetopoftheArmPlate,andaligningthebottomscrewswiththeslotsonthebottomoftheArmPlate.(Figure10)

B. SecurethedisplaytotheArmPlateusing2Washers(X)andLockingNuts(Y).TightenthenutswithanS10SocketWrench(AD)toensurethedisplayissecurelyfastenedtotheArmAssembly.(Figure10)

C. FollowthestepsforHorizontalLevelAdjustmenttoensurethatthedisplayislevel.

Note: TheTVPlateshouldbehorizontallycenteredonthebackofthedisplay.Ifthisneedstobeadjusted,loosenthescrewsfortheuprightbarsandaligntheTVPlateasneededonthebackofthedisplay.

Adjusting Display Position

A. LoosenthelockingnutsatthebottomoftheArmAssemblyendplate.(Figure11)

B. Placealevelontopofthedisplay,androtatethedisplayuntilitishorizontallylevel.(Figure12)

C. TightenthelockingnutsatthebottomoftheArmAssemblyendplate,andthenloosen¼turn.Thiswillallowforthedisplaytobepositionedwithlittleforce.

TheverticalpositionoftheTVcanbeadjusted+/-.5”fromthepre-adjustedcenter.Thisisachievedbytightening(Up),orloosening(Down)theVerticalAdjustmentScrewlocatedontheArmPlate.

A. ExtendtheArmtoaccesstheVerticalPositionAdjustment.

B. Loosenthe4LockNutsontherearoftheArmPlateusingtheS10SocketWrench(AD).(Figure14)

C. UsingtheS5AllenKey(AC),tightentheAdjustmentScrewtoRaisethedisplay,orloosenthescrewtoLowerthedisplay.(Figure13)

D. Tightenthe4LockNutsontherearoftheArmPlateusingtheS10SocketWrench(AD).(Figure14)

E. RetracttheArmifnecessary.

A. Extendthearmoutawayfromthewall.

B. PositiontheHomePositionLatchclipoverthe2holesontheverticalbaronthewallsideoftheArmAssemblyandsecureusingtheincludedscrews.(Figure15A)

Note: Aftertightening,loosen¼turntoallowforadjustingthepositionoftheclip.

C. Retractthearmuntila“Click”soundisheardwhentheArmisfullyretracted.

D. Ifno“Click”isheard,notethepositionoftheLatchonthedisplayendoftheArminrelationtotheLatchingCliponthewallendoftheArm.

E. Loosen,butdonotremovethescrewsfromtheLatchingClip.

F. AdjustthepositionoftheClipupordownsothatthebottomlinesupwiththeLatch.(Figure15B)

G. Tightenthescrews,andRetractthearmuntila“Click”soundisheard.

Repeatstep8AtoEuntila“Click”isheardandthedisplayLatchescompletelytothewallmount.

ThemountincludesaHomePositionLatchwhichLatchestheArmtotheWallMounttoavoidthedisplaybeingpushedawayfromthewallduetocabling.

Verticalangleadjustingdoesnotrequirelooseninganyboltsorscrews.Thetiltplatetensionhasbeenpre-adjustedforeasytiltanglechangesformostTVs,HeavierTVsmaysagduetotheextraweight.

Ifthisoccurs,simplyplacetheTVata0°angle,andtightenthe4LockNutsoneachsideoftheendplateusingtheS8SocketWrench(AE).Oncetightened,theTVangleshouldbeadjustablebysimplytiltingittothedesiredangle.(Figure16)
