TRAINING FACILITIES
Industrial scale facilites enabling realis c training scenarios in a secure environment operated to stringent safety standards.
ACCESS ZONE
This building caters for a wide variety of work at height and access training. Candidates can choose from an extensive range of CISRS and PASMA scaff olding courses, carried out both inside and outside the Access zone with portable, Layher and Haki scaff olding systems. There is also a “gable roof” structure for teaching working at height to anyone needing to work on commercial or domes c roofi ng environments.
COMPEX ZONE
CompEx courses are an essen al training requirement for people who conduct electrical or mechanical repairs and installa ons in poten ally hazardous environments, par cularly where there are high dust levels or risk of explosions. In our CompEx zone, candidates can undertake a range of JTL accredited courses from a basic founda on course to a full 5 day comprehensive qualifi ca on.
CONFINED SPACE ENTRY ZONE
Many construc on, process and engineering industries have requirements for confi ned space entry training. At CATCH, we have a dedicated CSE zone where candidates can undertake various levels of City & Guilds 6150 accredited training. In addi on, we are also able to off er sec ons of our process plant and its building to further enhance the authen city of the training being delivered.
DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEM SIMULATOR
This state of the art facility is a self-contained control room simulator. The 4-sta on training panel off ers all the familiar features found in DCS control rooms with alarm panels, screens, phones and 2-way radio links. Incredibly realis c scenarios can be created by experienced instructors to train operators in control room procedures or cri cal incident management.

DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEM SIMULATOR
DCS simulator at CATCH provides real life training without real life risks.
Companies can see how their staff would react under a variety of cri cal incident scenarios thanks to the distributed control system (DCS) simulator at CATCH.
Control room operators monitor complex and poten ally hazardous sites to ensure they run smoothly, effi ciently and safely. Its a skilled job that requires a cool head.
The DCS provides companies with the facili es they need to train new control room operators as well as provide refresher courses and cri cal incident management scenarios for their current teams.
The facility has control panels, telephones and television monitors that can be seen in any control room. In the simulator suite we are able to program the telephones to use the same numbers you use on your own sites and we can also run bespoke footage and audio into the room which helps take the realism of the scenarios to the next level.
PROJECT SHUTDOWN
Our unique process plant provides the ideal facility to demonstrate what happens during a planned maintenance shutdown.
The industrial-scale process plant and engineering workshops enable CATCH to off er unique plant shutdown training programmes. The programmes are available to appren ces, supervisors and project managers.
Process and engineering appren ces work together to enhance their learning experience and get a hands-on feel for planning and execu ng a maintenance shutdown using the authen c industrial equipment at CATCH.
Plant supervisors and project managers also benefi t from the training as they may never have experienced a shutdown in their workplace.
Providing an insight to the theory behind shutdown projects, the programme encompasses planning techniques, team organisa on, logis cs, informa on gathering, me management, contract management and the actual execu on of the shutdown.
