Students▪ Buses operating at 100% capacity

▪ Early Years to enter from the main door of the

primary building

Parents▪ Early Years parents allowed to use car park

▪ Please note: the number of parking spots

have been reduced

▪ Only one adult per family to enter the lobby of

the primary building

▪ Parents will handover students to teaching

staff at the access doors to Early Years

department

▪ If you have siblings in different grades , you

may drop off all the children at the earliest

assigned time

For example: If you have a PreK child and a KG2 child, you can drop the younger sibling at the same time as the KG2 sibling

TRANSPORT &

ARRIVAL PROCEDURES

Students

▪ Students will stay in the classroom

with teaching staff until parents arrive

on site▪ Bus students will be collected from

designated area by Bus attendants

Parents▪ Early Years parents allowed to use car park

▪ Only one adult per family to enter the lobby of

the primary building

Collection procedure

Step 1: Parents can find the QR code on the Parents Portal for each child that must be

scanned upon arrival in the school

Step 2: Once the QR code is scanned, a message will appear on the teacher's device

with your child’s name, notifying them that you

have arrived to collect your child

Step 3: Your child will be brought to the lobby by teaching staff.

Please respect social distancing while waiting for

your child and use the designated dots in the

lobby.

DEPARTURE PROCEDURES

If your child is registered with Maverick bus

services, please note the following:

PreK

First week of school:Bus will operate only in the afternoon for students in learning group B

2nd WeekBus will operate as normal

KG1 & KG2

First 2 days of schoolBus will operate in the morning for students in

learning groups A (pick up by parents)

Bus will operate in the afternoon for students in

learning group B (drop off by parents)

Tuesday August 31stBus service will operate as normal

BUS PROCEDURE FOR THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL

Siblings Childcare▪ ONLY Early Years students with siblings in

Primary and Secondary will be eligible for

Siblings Childcare for now

▪ Starting Sunday, August 29th

▪ Registration through online link will be

available on Thursday, August 19th

▪ Deadline for registration is Tuesday August

24th

▪ This service is free of charge and its purpose is

to align the dismissal timings, so siblings can

be dismissed at the same time.

▪ Siblings Childcare is Sundays to Thursdays

▪ Teaching staff will take the students to

childcare at 2h30

▪ Before collecting the siblings in Primary or

Secondary, please collect the Early Years

siblings first

▪ When collecting your child follow the

departure procedure in slide 7

SIBLINGS CHILDCARE

▪ All students must come to school wearing SISD ID badges

▪ If you do not have a badge, please inform

security@sisd.ae before the start of the

school year

Students▪ Temperature is to be taken each morning at

home before departing to school.

▪ Temperature will be taken again each

morning as you enter the building.

▪ <37.5°C, allowed to enter

▪ 37.5-37.9°C, allowed to enter but wait in

holding area and temperature re-measured

▪ If temperature consistently >37.5°C, student

will be sent home.

Parents▪ One parent per family allowed to enter the

building for drop off and pick up

Staff▪ All staff are always mandated to wear masks inside

the school from entry

Students

▪ Early Years students are NOT required to wear a mask▪ Masks are optional

Parents▪ Mandatory to wear masks on school premises at all

time and practice social distancing.

▪ All classrooms partitioned into two set learning spaces

▪ Each learning group is assigned to a specific learning space

▪ Each learning group has access to an assigned toilet area

▪ All adult educators will rotate throughout the day▪ Enforcing strict sanitary measures when rotating

▪ All furniture set up to maintain physical distancing of at least 1.5 meters per child in each classroom

▪ One child – One chair – One spot▪ Personal stationary set for each student

▪ Lunch break will occur in classrooms maintaining social distance regulations

Common areas▪ Provisions to ensure the 1.5 metres distancing

measure is maintained in all common areas,

service desks, etc. where different groups of

students, staff and visitors are mixing

▪ Playground time will be allocated

according to the designated learning group

▪ One-way movement around corridors

wherever possible

▪ Use of offices and staff rooms regulated as per

DHA’s guidelines

In the classrooms

▪ Each class will have two learning groups

▪ Learning groups will be communicated to

parents on August 24th

Use of outside spaces should be encouraged▪ Outdoor learning environment / opportunities

embedded in weekly schedule

▪ Mindfulness practices will be part of the daily

routine

▪ 1.5m distancing rule

▪ Equipment appropriately cleaned and

sanitized between groups of children

EDUCATIONAL PROVISION

Distance LearningDefined as temporary by KHDA; for health reasons

▪ Distance Learning option will be available until

the 30th of September. Starting on the 3rd of

October we expect all DL students to be back for in school.

▪ After this date, this option will only be

available for families with

medical extenuating circumstances.

▪ All students should attend school physically in order to optimise their learning experience,

and to continue their social and emotional

development

▪ Asynchronous approach to distance learning

using MS Teams and SeeSaw

▪ Scheduled live check in with the classroom

teachers twice per week (and, where

appropriate, inclusion)

EDUCATIONAL PROVISION

Internal ASAsWe are currently reviewing the Internal

ASA protocols to ensure the best planis in place to go forward with internal

ASA in Early Years

▪ Wellbeing, Health & Safety are our highest priorities▪ Staggered timings of arrival across all Early Years

grades▪ All Early Years dismissed at 14:20, except for those

attending Siblings Childcare▪ ONLY ONE member of each Early Years family is

allowed in the lobby for arrival and dismissal▪ Parents to take the temperature of their children before

leaving home, to ensure readiness for school▪ Students will be assigned to one of two designated

learning groups in their classrooms▪ Masks must be worn by adults and are NOT mandatory

for EY students▪ Regular handwashing and sanitizing of resources

IMPORTANT DATES▪ Meet the teacher **ONLY for Pre-K students and KG1 &

KG2 students who are new to SISD on August 26th▪ Learning groups will be communicated on August 24th
