Many researchers, company executives and business people feel a sense of crisis over the
future of modern civilization.
In this second symposium, as a first step toward presenting and realizing a new shape for
management, education and society through the recognition and diffusion of the Inamori
Management Philosophy, Professor Yoshinori Hiroi of Kyoto University explores in his keynote
address the ideal shape of a new form of capitalism, while Professor Emeritus Ikujiro Nonaka of
Hitotsubashi University joins a panel discussion, and many others give presentations approaching
the topic from the perspectives of philosophy and brain science. These are accompanied by
presentations of results of research into the strengths of companies with ideals, including

Furthermore, Professor John Yang of Peking University will discuss the Inamori Management
