NYFW SS2014 Sept 4th – 12th, 2013
“5 Senses of Style” NYFW Recap
SHOE WEEK NYFW SS14 On the eve of our events, we were thrilled to learn that Shoe WeekTM was included in Gayle King’s (Editor at Large) 6 Favorite Things in September in Oprah Magazine’s September issue (as well as online). This definitely set a positive foundation for our series of shoe lifestyle shows where we showcased shoe pairing looks.
After our inaugural season of Shoe Week during NYFW in Sept of 2012, we came back with the 5 Senses of Style for our second season of NYFW held Sept 4th – Sept 12th, 2013. This season, we created events that embraced florals, destinations, lingerie, foods, the penthouse lifestyle and so much more. It was essential for Shoe Week’s Co-‐Founders, Paul Farkas (CEO) and Accessories Expert Kimmie Smith (Creative Director) to present an immersive experience that fashion industry, fashion media, influencers and personalities could enjoy our events. Enjoy flipping through this Glossi to see what took place for Shoe Week.
SHOE WEEK NYFW SS14: 09.04.13 Pump Paradise
On Sept 4th, Shoe Week held an intimate launch party to kick off the second season of Shoe Week as well as to present a week-‐long window showcasing SCHEE Shoes within Angelica Flowers and Events throughout NYFW – Pump Paradise! Angelica Flowers is known as the go-‐to source for florals within the fashion community as this West Village shop and its founder, Angelica regularly arranges for a who’s who of fashion, including Vogue, Dior, Cosmopolitan, Jimmy Choo and more. ‘Pump Paradise’ allowed invited guests to not only see the window that would go live the next day, but to see an array of additional shoes from designer Caitlyn Hess! SCHEE Shoes is known as a brand that a designated portion of the proceeds from the sale of their shoes goes to charity. This season, SCHEE Shoes supports Cystic Fibrosis and even has a collection entitled, 65 Roses (showcased at the event).
The partnership of having these designer heels paired with this iconic florist was a great way to combine the senses with the perfect shoe lifestyle, exquisite flowers!
Guests enjoyed a signature cocktail from sponsor Art in the Age RHUBARB.

SHOE WEEK NYFW SS14: 09.08.13 Shoe Fete For our third event during this season, Shoe Fete combined key lingerie looks that are available currently at Sugar Cookies. What’s better then pairing heels with lingerie and swimwear, while allowing fashion press and industry to attend our photoshoot, with bubbly provided by Barefoot Wine & Bubbly.
A number of pieces that are carried by Sugar Cookies were showcased to attendees at their location in Chelsea. Known as a go to for sexy lingerie and swim needs, attendees were invited to see the collections carried as well as to have exclusive shopping promotions. One of the lines (pictured above) is Graffinis, a digitally printed women’s swimwear line that is made right here in NYC. The line was created with inspiration from the surf/skate, art and music subcultures. Images are generated from photography that is taken from the streets in NYC and is placed on the swimsuits. Images include neighborhoods in NYC such as Soho, Brooklyn, and Chinatown.
