How The Swap Works
Yoursquoll need 8 swappers plus yoursel to make a total o9 blocks
Draw simple images o 9 o your avorite things on apiece o paper in black marker Each image should beno bigger than 7 x 9 or use the images rom the samplequilt (ound on page XXX)
Send each swapper their Swap Kit (see below) Askthem to make a block using the instructions and thedrawing provided and to return the block to you on aspecified date
When I received the blocks back rom my swappersI laid them out next to each other in various ways unti
I was pleased with the arrangement I then stitched theblocks together using a standard 1 frasl 4 seam Afer sewingthe quilt top together I decided to use simple straight-line quilting with an off-white thread I really wanted theembroidered centers to be the ocal point and I didnrsquotwant to quilt over them
Take turns like this until each member o your swapgroup has had a chance to make their own very speciaquilt representing his or her avorite things

This project is a
modern take on
redwork Embroi-

has become very
popular again

work this tradi-

into a modern quilt
Inspired by fellow

came up with nine

my favorite things
that I thought would
make for an inter-
esting composition
in a redwork quilt
