OVERVIEW The final design will be a 12 ft long, 4 ft tall and 5 in think
board positioned at angles.
The panels on the ends of the board will be slightly shorter so that children in wheelchairs will be able to roll underneath them and have an opportunity to enjoy all of the activities.

COMPLETED WORK More in depth research on parts to order
Microcontrollers Sonar Sensors RGB LEDs Generators Button covers
Letter asking for donation of HDPE sent
NAPOLI, SMITH, WAKEFIELD 5
COMPLETED WORK Research on design of panels
Chimes will be hand-made and cut to different lengths so each has a different sound
Piezo Transducers can be used as “mini speakers” Memory Game will use microcontroller, which takes input from user
pushing buttons, and outputs to the LEDs and the Piezo Sonar sensors will have range of 3 feet so that they don’t pick up
noise

PROJECT REVIEW - SUCCESSES A contact is seeing if he can get us LEDs from his
company We have a contact in the electrical engineering
department that we can contact to consult on what we need
We have been able to solidify a few of the parts we will be ordering
We have done some good research which will help us to move forward
NAPOLI, SMITH, WAKEFIELD 7
PROJECT REVIEW - DRAWBACKS We are unsure of which type of microcontroller to order
We receive some advice, and will be buying one, and if it works will buy more later
It is still difficult to know exactly what to buy We have a few items we will be starting with
We are worried about our given budget, so are waiting for now to buy certain items
It is challenging to think of actually how to create/program the board, especially when none of us specialize in instrumentation

FUTURE WORK - DELEGATIONS Danielle Napoli
Memory game Communications LED’s Inverter
Alyssa Smith Create a picture Music panel Material for board
Christine Wakefield Hand Crank Sonar light up Circuitry
Everyone Put our heads together to
brainstorm what comes next and what to prioritize and how to actually program parts
Learn some C to program microcontrollers
Order other supplies

BUDGET We currently have a total of $3,000
$1,000 from Biomedical Engineering Department $2,000 from School of Engineering
After speaking with Jen Desrosiers, we should order from the BME department first, and see Sharon in EII about the SoE funds, as they cannot be transferred to each other
Letter has been sent asking for donation of HDPE The posts and brackets that will be holding up the actual
panels are being donated to us by Miracle Recreation A charge that would normally have cost us $180 each
