Becauseofimprovedhealthcare,peoplearelivinglongerandtakingmoreprescribedandover-the-countermedicationsthaneverbefore.AccordingtoasurveypublishedintheJournaloftheAmericanMedicalAssociation(JAMA),among2,590participantsagedatleast18years,81percentusedatleastonemedicationintheprecedingweekand,amongprescriptiondrugusers,16percentalsotookanherbal/supplement.
