The Scottish history begins when the Romans invaded Great Britain in in the first century a. c . ( called Caledonia )

Then, in V century a.c the celtics immigrants from Ireland, called Scots whent to the north of Clyde. After the Northmands conquired England in 1066 a lot of anglo-saxons of England whent to the lowlands of Scotland.

In 1290 Margaret gets the throne, when she died a lot of people wanted the crown.

Edward I of England wanted the crown, and he offered it to John of Baliol and he became king.

William Wallace was the first who fighted for the freedamn of Scotland. He won the english in Stirling Bridge in 1297, but his army was derrotated the year after and William Wallace get captured and executated, the english put his head on the London bridge.

In Northampton in 1328, England finally gave freedamn to Scotland.

∙Moly Hunter : (born 1922), is a Scottish writer. Born and bred near Edinburgh in thesmall village of Longniddry. She currently resides in Inverness. Her debut was TheSmartest Man in Ireland in 1963. She writes fantasy for children, historical stories foryoung adults and realistic novels for adults.

∙Eric Temple Bell : (February 7, 1883 – December 21, 1960), was a mathematician andscience fiction author born in Scotland who lived in the U.S. for most of his life. Hepublished his non fiction under his given name and his fiction as John Taine.‐

∙John Barbour: (c.1320 – 13 March 1395), was a Scottish poet and the first majornamed literary figure to write in Scots. His principal surviving work is the historicalverse romance, The Brus (The Bruce)
