TELEVISTON (CCTV) MONITOR.S TO PREVENT ROBBERY'THEFTCA$E$ AND OTI.IER CRIMINAL OFFENSES.
WHEREAS, Section 16 0f RA 7160, otheruvise known as the Local
Government code of 1991 provides that every local government unit (LGU)
shall exercise powers essential to the promotion of the general welfare ofthe inhabitants;
WHEREAS, Section 458 of the Local Government Code states that one of
the powers, duties and responsibilities of the Sangguniang Bayan is tomaintain peace and order by enacting measure$ to prevent and suppress
lawlessness, disorder, riot, violence, rebellion or sedition and imposepenalties for violation thereof;
WHEREAS, there is an alarming increase of criminal incidents of robbery,
theft and similar infractions of the law, specifically among banks and other
business establishments nationwide where.disbursements of caSh and
checks is inevitable;
WHEREAS, such disbursements expose the lives of clients, custorners and
employees of banks and business establishments to danger due to,
unicru-putous elements that are operating, targeting these types of
businesses;

$eefion Z Scope. This ordinance shall find application to all existing andsoon to be constructed banks, money changer$, pawnshops, supermarkets,gasoline stations, hotels, restaurants, Iending institutions, drugstores,computer shops, groceries, hospitals, lumber, hardware, factories,warehouses, and other establishments operating and doing business withinthe territorial jurisdiction of the Municipality of Gerona, Tarlac.
CHAPTER IIAdministrative Provisions
Secfion 1. Capitalization and pteriod of instaltaffon. All banks, moneychangers, pawnshops, supermarkets, gasoline stations, hotel, restaurants,lending institutions drugstores, computer shops, groceries, hospitals,lumber, hardware, factories, warehouses, and other establishrnents with acapitalization of five hundred thousand pesos and above (P/500,000.00) arerequired to install Close Circuit Television (CCTV) monitors within theperiod of three (3) months upon approval of this ordinance.
Section 2. Below five hundred thousand pesos (P/500,000.00)capitalization shall share for the purchase and installation of Close Circuitielevision (CCT\| depending on how many. establishments arepadicipating in the sharing scherne wherein the maintenance will beshouldered by the Local Government l"lnit of Gerona, Tarlac.
Secfion 3. Pr*requislte for issuan ce of Mayor's FermltltsusrnessPermit. No business establishment covered by this ordinance shall beissued a Mayofs PermiUBusiness Permit without compliance . to theprovisions of this ordinance.

Seetron 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval andsatisfaction of the provisiong of Local Government Code as to posting andpublications
