Six sided crystals

• Snowflakes are all six sided because of their chemistry

• Snowflakes are made of water molecules• Water molecules are “polar” – they have an

Mickey Mouse!

Power of Three

• Three water molecules that stick together form the base of the snowflake

• These keep adding more until it gets so heavy it falls to the ground

Avalanche!

• Snow is very heavy• When snow piles up, it can fall in an avalanche• Avalanches can be very dangerous, so watch

out for warning signs in mountainous areas

Just a few of millions….

….and a few more because I love them.

…and what family is complete without a few oddballs?
