New Jerusalem

Revelation 21:1-22:5

(Rev 21:1) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth

were passed away; and there was no more sea.

(Rev 21:2) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,

coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride

adorned for her husband.

(Rev 21:9) And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the

seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the

bride, the Lamb's wife.

(Rev 21:10) And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high

mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem,

descending out of heaven from God,

Naming the Gates

(Rev 21:12-14) And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve

angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of

the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the

west three gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

(Joh 4:22) Ye worship ye know not what: we know

what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Reuben “see a son”

Gate #1

(Joh 1:29) The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the

world.

(Heb 12:2) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set

before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the

throne of God.

(Heb 2:9) But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than

the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of

God should taste death for every man.

(Luk 24:31) And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their

sight.

Simeon “to hear”

Gate #2

(Act 3:22-23) For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall

say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet,

shall be destroyed from among the people.

(Rom 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing

by the word of God.

(Joh 12:47-48) And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I

have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Levi “to join or

Gate #3

(Eph 1:13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that

ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of

promise,

(1Jn 4:4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he

that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Judah “to

praise”

Gate #4

(Rom 10:11) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on

him shall not be ashamed.

(Rom 1:16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:

for it is the power of God unto salvation …

(Php 1:11) Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and

praise of God.

Gate #5

(1Co 11:31) For if we would judge ourselves, we

Naphtali “to

wrestle”

Gate #6

(Eph 6:12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but

against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the

darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high

places.

(1Co 9:26) I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as

one that beateth the air:

(1Co 9:27) But I keep under my body, and bring it into

subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to

others, I myself should be a castaway.

Gad “a troop

Gate #7

(Heb 10:25) Not forsaking the assembling of

ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but

exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Gate #8

(Jam 1:2) My brethren, count it all joy when ye

fall into divers temptations;

Joseph “to add”

Gate #11

(Col 1:10) That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in

every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of

God;

(2Pe 1:5-8) And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your

faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge

temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience

godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to

brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and

abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor

unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(Rom 8:17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified

together.

Or (Mat 26:24) The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that

man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that

man if he had not been born.
