expectations for 8th Grade English Language Arts;• To practice recall, analytical, evaluative, and

synthetical skills orally

RulesWhile it has all of the appearances of a game, do not be deceived; this is an assessment.

Please note that:• Each of you will be placed in a team—and you will not be

permitted to choose your team members.• Each of you will be assessed individually on your

understanding and comprehension of the novel; however, you will receive a group grade.

• Each team will have 1 Lifeline, which will permit them to discuss with their team-members their answer; using the lifelines results in a .5 point deduction.

• The team that earns the highest score will be rewarded with one point of extra credit.
