The penthouses are the jewel in the crown of
the Queen’s Wharf development. With its elegant
mix of brickwork and gently curving glass,
this eight-storey, mixed-use building complements
both its neighbouring buildings and its riverside
setting. Vibrant and diverse, Queen’s Wharf caters
for all cultural tastes with a restaurant, café, bar and
an independent theatre and cinema managed
by the world-renowned Riverside Studios. It is also
a haven of peace with private, riverside entrances,
a dedicated, 24-hour concierge, idyllic podium
gardens and a residents’ rooftop terrace with
sweeping views.

Riverside Studios has been an artistic powerhouse
for more than 80 years. A former riverside
warehouse, it became one of London’s leading film
studios in the 1930s before being taken over by the
BBC in the 1950s. The original home of Dr Who and
Top of the Pops, the state-of-the-art studios were the
first in London to broadcast television in technicolour.
During the 1970s it became an independent arts
venue, a magnet for lovers of cinema, dance
and theatre.
Now, as part of the redevelopment of Queen’s Wharf,
a new artistic chapter has begun. Riverside Studios
will be one of London’s leading cultural hubs once
more, hosting an independent theatre, cutting-
edge television studios and cinema. Cultivating
performance art in all its forms, this will be a leading
arts venue like no other.
1312
1903 — 1950
NEW BEGINNINGS
In 1933, the Triumph Film Company converted a
former industrial warehouse on Crisp Road into the
Riverside Studios. Among its best known films was
The Seventh Veil (1945).
1954 — 1990s
WRITING HISTORY
In 1954, the BBC acquired the studios, using them
for the making of such iconic programmes as
Hancock’s Half Hour, Quatermass and the Pit.
The first ever series of Doctor Who, Top of the Pops
and the well loved children’s programme, Play School,
were also produced at Riverside Studios.
In 1976, Riverside Studios launched as an
independent venture, establishing itself as leading
arts venue for theatre, dance and cinema.
SET TO REOPEN IN 2017, RIVERSIDE STUDIOS
WILL CONTINUE TO BE A CENTRE OF
EXCELLENCE, PROVIDING AN ENVIRONMENT
FOR THEATRE, CINEMA, TELEVISION AND
A NATIONAL MEDIA SERVICE TO ARTS
ORGANISATIONS FROM AROUND GREAT
BRITAIN. IT WILL REMAIN AN ARTISTIC
AND SOCIAL ASSET TO THE BOROUGH
OF HAMMERSMITH & FULHAM, WITH ITS
WONDERFUL VIEWS LOOkING OUT OVER THE
THAMES AND HAMMERSMITH BRIDGE.

FINE DINING
London is one of the culinary capitals of the
world and Queen’s Wharf offers Michelin-starred
dining – The Harwood Arms (London’s only Michelin-
starred gastro-pub) is down the road in Fulham,
while The Ledbury (2 stars) and Alain Ducasse at
The Dorchester (3 stars) are a short trip away. For a

while Imperial College, LSE, king’s and UCL continue
to attract the brightest and best from around the world.
ICONIC LONDON
London boasts some of the most famous sights
in the world, a rich seam of history and heritage
at your feet. The River Thames threads through the
capital linking landmarks such as Big Ben and
