Test CCTV camera installed and reviewed for quality.Criminal Code offenses have increased 20% over 5-year average.Increased member focus on transit corridor with 61.5 hours of patrol time.Extreme Cold Planning with Winnipeg Outreach to provide informa-tion to businesses for citizens in need of assistance.
115 individuals arrested, more than $500,000 in drugs and $37,000 cash seized in the 4th quarter of 2019. 177 weapons (79 guns) seized by Guns & Gangs Unit in this quarter. Service-wide firearms seizures for 2019 is 1393 (86 improvised firearms).Biker Enforcement Unit conducted a number of investigations, includ-ing several inter-agency and interprovincial investigations; assisted in traffic stop training and provided five lectures on outlaw motorcycle gangs.Became executive member of the Winnipeg Gang Action Interagency Network.Installed new equipment and staffed two new positions within the Firearms Investigative Analysis Section.
Policy regarding Immediate Roadside Prohibition developed and communicated. Purchased 25 additional Alcohol Screening Devices.Administrative report for Photo Enforcement extension completed.Traffic members redeployed to respond to calls for service from November 11, 2019 to end of year.

Drug Enforcement Unit arrested 10 people, and seized over $16,000 in drugs and proceeds of crime.Guns & Gangs Unit seized more than $500,000 in drugs and $37,000 cash.274 drug-related charges laid in this quarter.Participated in a multi-agency, interprovincial organized crime investi-gation resulting in 10 persons arrested with 34 criminal code offences. 246 cases of cigarettes seized worth $2,200,000.Participated in cross training with Addictions Foundation of Manitoba and drug experts.Held public forum at Polo Park Mall on December 4th; members also presented 11 lectures in the community.
Participated in a joint investigation with the Canadian Border Services Agency, resulting in 3 arrests for immigration breaches.64 in-person interventions and 44 online interventions with exploited women; 8 DISC Stops conducted; 37 people arrested. Participated in 13 community events with outside agencies.Finalized the Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation course for WPS members and outside agencies.
