Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area (SMSA) – an urban area consisting of 50,000 or more persons which serves as a recruitment area
Relevant Labor Market – persons with skill sets in an urban area (SMSA) who are eligible (of age) and qualified to fill jobs recruited by employers located in that MSA.The 2010 figures are not available at this time
Parity – is the benchmark or target figure that equals the % of minorities and females in the relevant labor market
Interpretation of Parity – parity figures for minorities or females at or below 51% warrant remedial action
