Program IEEE SLED 2018
Welcome
It is our pleasure to welcome you to to the 2018 IEEE 9th International Sympo-sium on Sensorless Control for Electrical Drives (SLED), in Helsinki, Finland, onSeptember 13th to 14th, 2018. The symposium aims to present the latest advance-ments and future perspectives of sensorless drives. In the 2018 edition, we are hon-ored to provide a balanced technical program with 26 high-quality technical papersand three inspiring keynotes.
We are happy to host more than 70 registered participants from all over theworld, almost half of them from companies. Hence, the symposium clearly bringstogether international experts from both the academia and industry. We are lookingforward to many fruitful discussions in the technical sessions, during the breaks, and at the symposium dinner. At the end of the event, the participants also have agreat opportunity to attend an exciting technical tour at ABB Oy Drives, Helsinki.
We would like to thank the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) for thesponsorship of this event as well as the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS)and the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) for the technical co-sponsorship.We also gratefully acknowledge the fundamental contributions from the authorsand keynote speakers, the reviewers, the committee members, the industrial sponsorABB Oy, and the Aalto University staff.
Sincerely yours,
Marko Hinkkanen Seppo SaarakkalaGeneral Co-Chair Technical Program Chair
