Work!• God’s Work Involved the Creation of the Universe

Ps. 8:3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

• God Warns Against Slothful WorkPr. 18:9 One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys.

• God Honors Those Who Do Good Work. Pr. 22:29 Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men.

• Our Labor is a Gift of God Ec. 3:12-13 I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil — this is the gift of God.

Our Labor Is Designed to Allow Us to Help Meet Other’s Needs Eph 4:28 “Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.”

the skills to do the work? Describe some goals you have set for yourself and how you

measure your progress. Why did you leave your previous company? (Never criticize

former employers or co-workers.  Think of the most optimistic (and true) reason you can give and leave it at that.  If you've been fired for cause, it's best to reveal that and deal with it here.)

When I follow-up with your previous employers, is there anything you feel one of them may tell me that you'd like to explain? (If you've had a serious problem that was documented, it's best to be forthcoming about it and deal with it in a positive fashion.)

Turn ‘negative’ trait into a positive Weaknesses are completely

How are decisions made here? How much is team-based and how much is on the individual?

What performance expectations do you have for a good employee in this position? What would success look like?

After the InterviewIt takes time and persistence to reach your goalConsider every interview a learning experience

Follow up!

Smile…you have done your best!

Christian’s attitudeRemember your future does NOT

completely depend on how you are able to perform in a 60-minute period. That’s the earthly perspective, not the heavenly one.

God’s promise is that he will use the situation for our good (Romans 8:28). No matter what happens, your future is in good hands –

Lk. 12:22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? 27 “Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. 32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Every Job belongs to GodPs. 24:1 The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army beseige me, my heart shall not fear; though war break out against me, even then, I will still be confident. (Psalm 27: 1, 3)

The job that you are looking for may not be the one the Lord has in mind for you……..Proverbs 16:9 “In their hearts

humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.”

Je. 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
