INTRODUCTIONMy name is ChanaguntJaratwasan, a Communication Design (Commde) student from Chulalongkorn University International Program Thailand, BKK. I am a kind of direct, passionate and enthusiastic person. Looking for the right design studio, where I can absorb new knowledge and improve my skills.

ADOLESCENTAdolescent newspaper is specially designed for teenagers, which attempt to present the layout in tablet form with smaller size than the actual newspaper. So, it is portable for teenagers to carry around. The reason why I chose to work with black and white is because I do believe that black and white can thoroughly communicate with the audiences. It also gives sense of attraction. SIZE: 42 x 29.7 cm

In this project students are asked to design their own identity. There is no limitation in media, we can use any kind of media to present our own identity. I designed 100 identities that are related to me and show the process through the poster.SIZE: 24 x 33 cm

SELF IDENTITY

This is a second year project where students are asked to choose our favourite object and make an infographic about it. I picked big motorbikes as my favourite and made a comparison between the brands Ducati and Kawasaki. Information that I provided in this poster are affordablity, engine, gearbox, fuel tank and lightweight.SIZE: 41.91 x 59.44 cm

DECISION MAKING

This is a second year project name degree of truth. In this project students are asked to reflect on the property of true and false of a statements and validity and invalidity of an argument. Professors randomly assigned us with a category for a statement (impossible, contingent, possible, true, necessary true) and one for arguments (invalid, inexact, uncertain, probable, plausible, credible, anexact, exact, valid, sound): we are asked to design a poster that respects those categories, inspired by a newspaper article of our own choice.SIZE: 50 x 70 cm

DEGREE OF TRUTH

This is a second year assignment. Students are taken on a field trip to the Musuem of Contemporary Art, and are assigned to design a poster on an artist of choice and their work. I chose Anupong Chantorn as my favourite artist and designed a poster about his half-human-half-beast sculptures, the Animal Man.SIZE: 42 x 59.4 cm

THE BEASTBANE

This poster is inspired by the movie Snatch by director Guy Ritchie. We are assigned to produce a poster related to the movie on our topic of choice. I focused on the aspect of tattoos on Mickey’s body, the protagonist, and its hidden meaning and association to the character.SIZE: 50 x 70 cm

SNATCH POSTER

Final display is a class assignment. We are asked as a class to design a display on what we have learnt so far by the end of second year. What did I do on this project? I am a curator, an art director and a worker. This is one of my favourite projects.

FINAL DISPLAY

In the Thailand Book Expo 2013, CommDe students had a chance to exhibit and explore our creativity. We, third year students designed the interactive interior of the booth and second year students did the exterior. The interior consisted of lighting, sound and visual.
