Book About A Book

I wanted to make a book that people would actually buy and that would not only be visually pleasing but also informative. I decided to make a timeline of the history of the book - from ancient stone carvings to iPad.I used two different printing processes - screenprinting for the inside content, and embossing for the cover. The book fair was a success - I sold all 4 of my books.

A Book About A Book

First mock up of the book (top) I made by hand, to plan the spacing of the timeline.

The manifesto

This project was quite challenging for me as I don’t like writing, so i took a different approach and tried to make it interesting by using rhyme and making it into an advertisement for the Utopian society it was written for. I then projected it on the ceiling to represent the Utopian advantages above other societies

Information Graphics

I very much enjoyed this project, but wish there was just a bit more time to do it. I have learned a lot while doing it, and got quite into the different ways of visually representing information.

Intevention

A collaboration with Paul Phillips. Our theme was to obstuct, block and prevent.

Packaging

A group project with Paul Phillips, Paula Mockute and Lewis Moy Manning. It was a very challenging project mainly because of the group aspect of it and the time to do it all. We were all quite pleased with the outcome at the end of it .

LAB: Make me think

I wanted the piece for the LAB to be meaningful and personal so I chose the medium of printmaking as it is what I love most.It is also very important to me to persevere and do what i think is best and not to care if someone says my work is no good - that’s why I chose the idiom to represent it.
