“Maybe we can educate the public in an interesting way.”
We pictured the interaction betweenpedestrians, and then observed somecommon things. No matter in whatsituation or place, people tried tosituate themselves as far as possiblefrom the others on a bench.
How could we facilitate interaction, when people don’t even concern?

The friendship fountain enables and rewards cooperation.
When someone sits at one of these seats, a corresponding
spout is activated, sending a small stream of water toward
the middle of the fountain. But when two or more people sit
in adjacent seats, the streams get larger and larger.Colored
lights also turn on, creating a light and water show.

“More information and fun to get on the way.”
Based on the course "Design Management", my partners
and I started to look into the problems or inconvenience
in our surroundings.According to our observation,we got
our final task - creating a platform of intelligent commun-
ication and interaction.
The system is beginning from an umbrella, which attributes
mutual reaction within people and surroundings. In different
campuses,we have different interactive settings. When walkers
pick up the umbrella, they can get updated information on the
display inside it.For example, they can know what exhibitions
are on the show, and best food for their health status. All these
information are provided on theinformation are provided on the display and on the CityWalk
website. People would hardly miss anything now.
Every street light has a QR-code on
its pannel. When pedestrians walk
by, they can use their phone to photo
it down. Then they can download the
information immediately.
The umbrella is set with Livemove
technology, so users can control it
with intuition. When seeing the di-
splay on the umbrella, they can just
wave, put forward or roll the grip .
By these simple moves , browsing
is really easy. is really easy.
Visible at night, the street
light can be a piece of art
work which makes a beau-
tiful night view.

“What a small world!”

Six degrees of separation (also called "Human Web") refers
to the idea that everyone is at most six steps away from any
other person on Earth, so that a chain of, "a friend of a friend"
statements can be made to connect any two people in six
steps or fewer.
The theory comprised several experiments conducted by Stanley
Milgram and other researchers examining the average path
length for social networks of people in the United States.
Individuals were chosen in the U.S. cities of Omaha, Nebraska
and Wichita, Kansas to be the starting points and Boston,
Massachusetts to be the end point of a chain of correspondence.
Among these chains, the average path length fell around six.Among these chains, the average path length fell around six.

The project work “Six Degrees of Separation" is to develop a
new way of human interaction. Integrating concepts and

we approached an innovative way of communication for people
