• Pictographs are commonly used today as pictorial signs, statistical diagrams or instructions in various fields.

• Pictographs are graphic in nature and are used to indicate places such as train stations, airports, hotels, public toilets and so on.

• The simple shapes and subdued colors feel right at home in an interface that might otherwise be filled with content boxes, panes, rows of data and other control elements.

• pictograms are incredibly easy to work with. You can add them to your existing design without causing too much of a disturbance.

• They certainly cater to the ‘Helvetica Generation’ of designers that enjoy clean lines and a balanced approach to visual hierarchy.

• Pictures which represent an idea or concept, rather than a group of letters arranged according to the phonemes of a spoken language, as is done in alphabetic languages.
