World Marketing Congress & CMO Asia introduces the future of The Mobile & Digital

communities. Today’s traditional marketing models are changing into digital framework

World Marketing Congress & CMO Asia introduced the future of The Mobile & Digital
Marketing forum for cultivating, inspiring, and involving the marketing, advertising & media
communities with an aim to give a framework of today’s traditional marketing models which are
changing into digital framework powered by digital practices and tools.
The Mobile & Digital Marketing forum is the ideal program for marketers to discover, discuss,
& exchange strategies on digital marketing engagement, case studies and global best practices.
The conference that took place on 14th November 2014 at Taj Lands End brought together
marketing experts, strategists and media to share and deliver the issues and best practices that
shape the digital marketing landscape.
As a part for the same, there were panel discussions, master classes and a lot more by eminent
speakers Gabriel Tan, Vice President APAC, Airpush, Inch; C.V.V.S Krishna, President, Sirez
Group; Shehan Selvanayagam, Chief Executive Officer, Loops Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. (Sri Lanka)
etc.
In a panel discussion, chaired by Aashish Nanavati – GM & Head Digital Marketing, People
Interactive (I) Pvt. Ltd, panellist discussed on ‘The Digital Marketing Lifecycle: The New World
of One Screen’. The panellist included – Pramod Pratap – Global Marketing Lead – Life
Sciences & Services Industries, Infosys Ltd., Kamalakannan Jothi – Head – Mobile, MTV –
Digital, Viacom18 Media Pvt. Ltd., and Nishad Ramachandran – VP-Digital Experience, Hansa
Customer Equity.
K.Jothi began by mentioning that while there are talks about difference in consumer behaviour
on television and digital, there is a growing difference between digital (web) and mobile as well.
He also mentioned that content plays a crucial role in this changing behaviour.
Sharing the agency-side of the story, Ramachandran stated that, about the use of multiple
devices, it is essential to know where is the customer engagement higher and better.Over time, it
is also required to build intelligence to know which devices are the messages you sent (content)
opened and consumed more so as to gauge viability and avoid wastage.
A.Nanavati pointed that while products (content in any form) today are structured on the basis of
the screen they appear on, the quizzed the panellist as to how does marketing help in the process
of product structuring. Responding to this, Jothi added that today there is higher focus on
digital, there is similar or higher dependency on television to make any content popular.
However, we at MTV are keenly working on devising content that is approachable across
devices. We are also working on strategies where, while we attract our viewers on television
with a particular show, we drive them to the digital platform and offer extensive
content from there on.
P.Pratap however, gave an opinion that the fundamentals of marketing strategies remain the
same, irrespective of the time and situation, having said that; we also need to understand the
nature of product, which decides the marketing and communication strategies and
understandably the screens as well.
One of the session which catched the eye-ball was the Incite Insightful Insights which involved
the eminent speakers like Sandeep Arora, Sr. Vice President & Global Head (Research &
Analytics Solutions); Datamatics Global services limited; Sumeli Chatterjee, Head - Marketing,
Media & Insights, MTV India and MTV Indies; Prerna Jha, Insights Director, IMRB
International; Thomas George, Managing Director, D’Well Informatics & Services Pvt Ltd;
Sanjana Thakkar, Vice President –Global Market Research, Brandscapes Worldwide; Rohit
Kumar, AVP Marketing (Research), Max Life Insurance Co. Ltd and R Balasubramanian,
Consultant and Head CIMR, Godfrey Philips India Ltd.
The conversation started with a simple question, ‘What is an Insight’? While Sumeli Chatterjee
believed that Insight is the base level of truth, R Balasubramanian believed that Insight is the
first step to start a research and one can tweak insight depending upon the thoughts of his/her
research agenda. Balasubramanian however added Research has a lot of limitations and more
importantly defining a research quotient and a business quotient is very critical. At the same
time it is important to know the fact that Ideas can be generated but not an Insight. If Insights
are driven by top management then it is a plus point for the researcher and the organization
Sanjana Thakkar however commented that Insight is a piece of truth on which a research rides.
Research needs a reference and the Insight if used correctly can help as a reference too.
Taking the conversation to ‘Insight is science’, Sumeli Chatterjee also remarked that Insight can
also be drawn from our daily life and thereafter the research can be conducted.
Continuing to Sumeli’s point, Prerna Jha added that Collecting Data and insights both are
sciences and Research is a combination of both art and science. Thomas George believed that
Insight is an intuition and to test an insight one can generalize qualitively and quantitively. Also
towards the end of session the speakers felt very strongly that the data collection tools have
changed drastically and so have the thought of Insight.
An another event also took place in the same building but in Malabar Hall where E-Learning
was given a great importance. Speakers from Malaysia, Thailand and Europe focused on how
Higher Education is important in today’s world. Earlier in 1990s only 14% of students obtained
higher education in Malaysia, however the trend has changed now as in 2010 40% people
preferred higher education. A focus was also kept on how students can use the latest gadgets to
obtain education. If they miss classes they obtain the lecture notes and important videos of the
lecturers online, so they can study even sitting at home. Latest software also enhances the
learning of the students and the frequently used plagiarism tester is used to identify any fraud or
plagiarised work of students. Today 80% of the graduates will have jobs in Malaysia, so higher
education is growing and so should on other counties.
Speakers also addressed that how important models such a ABA (Area based assessment) model,
EQA(Education quality Assurance) plays a vital role in the Higher Education system. Some
universities obtain their own model as 149 to show the importance of minimum education
standards and the most advance one in today’s world. The 3cs are very important classroom
,campus and community all should be well interacted and with each other and such a system in
any university will bring it to excellence. This event also added mesmerism as it brought into the
insight of the a higher Education importance and the future attached to it.
Tarita Mam also played a vital part in the WMC as she was given the responsibility to introduce
the Logo of the WMC, at BE ABP awards at Taj land Bandra

Lewis Hamilton 2014 World Champion!
Even after winning 10 races in the 2014 Formula1 Season, Hamilton’s chance of
winning the 2014 Drivers’
Championship were 50:50 as he arrived
at the Yas Marina Circuit for the 2014
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The threat of Rosberg snatching the title
due to the dubious double points system
always loomed large and not only did he
overcome a charging Rosberg, but also
the fears of mechanical issues as he
finally clinched his second Drivers’
World Championship. He won his first in
2008. And luckily for Hamilton, Rosberg
was the one who suffered mechanical
issues in the title-deciding race.
It was evident from pre-season testing
that the Mercedes W05 would be the car
to beat and that the title fight would be
between the two Mercedes drivers.
While Rosberg did well to delay
Hamilton’s win till the final race of the
season, I do wonder why would a driver
as talented as Hamilton leave his wins
till the last race of the season. He lost the
title to Raikkonen in 2007 (Brazil) and
only just won it from Massa in 2008
(Brazil). Although I am glad he didn’t do
a Vettel a la 2013.
And while I congratulate Lewis
Hamilton for his much deserved victory,
I would also like to thank him for
winning the title. Had Rosberg won the
title due to the farcical double points
system, the sport’s credibility would’ve
been under much questioning. But
respect to Rosberg he have driven like a
champ all year and specially when he
was asked to box by his engineer, he
replied 1I would like to go to the end, I
want to finish the race on the grid.

MOTIVATION IS KEY TO SUCCESS
“MOTIVATION IS WHAT GETS YOU STARTED,
HABBIT IS WHAT KEEPS YOU GOING”
Today we are seeing many successful people in our daily life which portrays that we also can
become a successful person in our life, career and can make our life a meaningful life for others.
Success doesn’t lie in our pockets, it is rather achieved by the person who makes an effort day
and night with their learning and grasping things and also by implementing them and become a
successful person. There is a saying about success that:-
“IF YOU HAVE DISCIPLINE, DRIVE AND DETERMINATION……
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE IN THIS WORLD”
Success is what most people dream of accomplishing.
To reach our heart’s desire is our ultimate goal.
Although we live with different purposes in life, it is
the main reason why we stand, why we strive and
why we continue to live… all to be successful!
Now, the big question is how can we achieve
success? How can we maintain success and what is
the key to success?
Achieving success….. When it comes to the secrets of achieving that
mysterious beast called success, we definitely think of
our ability, the amount of money we have or the
number of blessings that shower us every day. But,
realistically, motivation is the one true key to
success. Successful people are those who can take a
chance, and get going when something needs to be
accomplished, instead of waiting around. Perhaps we
don't all have the foresight to make the right choices
straight away. However, some of our troubles could
dissolve faster if we keep ourselves positively
motivated.
Maintaining success…..
Learning how to motivate yourself is an effective skill
to have when challenges come knocking at your door.
Being skilled at motivation can help you survive at
any storms that come along. Becoming motivated
gives you a feeling of control when everything
around you has run out of control. It all stems from
inside you. Success begins from within
motivation can't be discovered from looking outside
ourselves. Sometimes something will come along in
our lives and disappoint us, make us weak and we
start feel that we have no meaning in our life.
Finding the desire to continue on a positive path on
our own will make us strong; help us stand up tall
and continue in pursuit of what we have started.
As with many things in our lives, our personalities
greatly influence our success or failure in any given
situation. But, whether our personalities contribute to
our success or turn out to be obstructions does not
altogether define us as failures. We can't change the
world in general, but we are able to change how we
live our own life and affect the human nature and
conditions which may try to hide our path to success.
The Key to Success….. Finally, motivation is a leadership skill. In time that
you have the need to attain success, worries will
surely arise. If we really want to achieve anything in
our life we set out to achieve, being strong and
staying motivated is the key. Many of us can stay
motivated over a short period of time, but it takes a
great deal of discipline to stay motivated over a long
period of time. To be successful in life, we must have
a number of creative approaches that can assist us in
maintaining our motivation. It is absolutely necessary
to ensure that you dedicate time each and every day
to the motivation that you need. Give a time to
yourself keep a deep and strong belief in yourself and
keep on saying that “YOU CAN DO IT BECAUSE
THERE IS NO TOMORROW “. So Stay Healthy and
Stay Motivated.
“ALWAYS KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR NEGATIVE
THINGS AND THE PEOPLE WHO SAYS YOU ARE
NEGATIVE IT MOTIVATES YOU AND MAKES
YOU SUCCESSFUL
BECAUSE THE BOTH NEGATIVE WILL MAKE A
POSITIVE WITH YOUR SELF MOTIVATION”

If You Really Love Nature, Don’t Live Anywhere Near It I used to share an office with an older man, a nature lover. He put his full career working for the government as an environmental engineer and was just counting the days until his retirement. His dream was to move 30 miles south of the city, right on the lake, a famous migratory spot and thus a favourite site for birding. There was nothing wrong with his dream, per se, and it’s a fairly common and simple one, almost clichéd, for members of his generation. Nature lovers often seek to literally own a piece of it, to behold it by living life within its depths. Many have dreamt of catching a glimpse of deer grazing in the backyard over morning breakfast or hearing the cry of a hawk at night. Who doesn’t love those things? They hold a natural, almost primitive, appeal. But the sad irony is, the best thing for the birds, hawks, and deer might have been if my co -worker had stayed far away. Environmentally friendly lifestyle available (at least for those who don’t work in the agricultural sector) happens to be the opposite: living far away from purest nature, in cities.“Almost universally, people living in urban locations have a much smaller environmental footprint. One extremely important reason is that urban dwellers drive far
less. I f you live on the edge of a birding lake, chances are you can’t walk to the store, or anywhere really—and forget about catching a bus. Daily drives, and relatively long ones, become a practical necessity for fulfilling almost every need. Not only do city dwellers have more sustainable options for getting around, but they also tend to live in smaller, more energy efficient homes.” Those are the major reasons a UC Berkeley study found that people living in large, densely populated cities had carbon footprints about half the size of those in suburbs. This pattern emerges with remarkable regularity in every metro area throughout the United States. Glance through these maps at Berkeley’s Cool Climate Network, if you doubt it. From Portland to Milwaukee to Raleigh, people who live near downtown drive less and have smaller carbon footprints than those living “close to nature.” And the pattern intensifies as the size of the city increases. The greenest U.S. city—New York City—is not typically the type of place nature lovers idealize. But perhaps they should. New York residents consume about a quarter of the gasoline of those living in the “green” state of Vermont, writes David Owen, a leading climate
expert at Yale Environment 360. And New Yorkers use less than half as much electricity as the average American. “In a paradoxical way,” Owens writes, “environmental groups have been a major contributor to residential sprawl, for organizations like the Sierra Club, whose anti-city ethos has been indivisible from its mission since the time of John Muir, have fuelled the yearning for fresh air and elbow room which drives not only the preservation of wilderness areas but also the construction of disconnected subdivisions and daily hundred-mile commutes.” At the end of the day, living close to nature is very often (though not always) just another consumption choice for Americans. And it might be the biggest one of all, because of all the other tangential consumption activities it engenders. Indian spiritual guru and nitrous oxide enthusiast Osho captured the moral dilemma, when he said, “If you love a flower, don’t pick it up. Because if you pick it up, it dies and ceases to be what you love. So if you love a flower, let it be. Love is not about possession. Love is about appreciation.”

Love the essence of life
A life without love is of no account. Don’t
ask yourself what kind of love you should
seek, spiritual or material, divine or
mundane, Eastern or Western…. divisions
only lead to more divisions. Love has no
labels, no definitions. It is what it is- pure
and simple. Love is the water of life. And a
lover is a soul of fire. The universe turns
differently when fire loves water.
A life without love means to take living
beings just as things, as object without self-
value for unrestricted use – plants, animals,
humans. They all have one task, to serve my
purposes and to be consumed for that. Even
more, all the other existent things, namely
lifeless nature get deprived of any self-
worth.
Materialistic consciousness has brought this
view to perfection and created the maximum
alienation possible to mankind. Whatever
we encounter as a thing is alien to us,
because it has been ripped off its aliveness.
We only can develop an inner trust to living
beings. It is clear that we create a split in
ourselves by turning ourselves to an object
without noticing. And this object has to
function perfectly. The animate sphere
becomes an opposite which we meet with
aggression in case it does not fit our
purposes. Eventually, we ally ourselves with
death by declaring life as an enemy. (Death,
by the way, does not accept this offer, as it
cannot be treated as an instrument of human
will – every materialist will be addressed by
death with great reliability in the given
time.)
In contrast, love is tuning in to the flow of
life. Love is what allows and furthers
growth. Love dwells where fear has been
confined. Love has so many faces as there
are moments for loving. We are in love,
when we are connected, with people, with
nature, with what is happening right now,
inside and outside of us.
The fire of love is the passion for life and its
growth. When it is burning inside of us, we
can say: Yes, we can and we want to make a
difference in this world, as we can open up
more for the power of life and foster and
support it consciously. The work to which
the fire of love calls us is mainly resolving
our fears and thus free us from our
confinements.
This should become our passion: Removing
everything which is in the way of awareness,
of being in the moment, of swinging with
love. When we feel we have resolved an
inner block and regain our connection to
life, we have used the power of the fire. It is
burning down what is no longer needed and
is in the way. It symbolizes the radicalness
of seeking (it is not more and not less about
the further existence of life and humanity)
and the radicalness to discriminate:
commitment for life or against it.
Love is a child of freedom, as a French
proverb says. Love cannot be jailed by the
jealous guardians of “true love”, it cannot be
owned by definers and small minds.
When we believe we should have to find
divine love as incorporated by Jesus Christ
or others, we can make the mistake to try to
imitate an unreachable idol and by this
overlook or disregard mundane love – love
is in all places where people support and
serve other people. Even in economical
connections in which every service is
defined in terms of payment; love can work
when the action is connected with respect to
the bigger whole which encompasses
everything.
So I do not need to give off my love when
leaving my home, but can take it with me
and feel it when I meet unknown people on
the street, when I am thankful to the bus
driver or feel compassion for the mother
taking her three kids to kindergarten or for
the old man with tired legs or the business
woman full of stress etc.
This can also work for our professions we
do for earning our living. Wherever and
whatever we work, we can do it with
carelessness or aversion or rather with
awareness and openness for the service we
give to other people and to the whole. Then
the power of love flows into all those actions
we often see in the perspective of duty and
compulsion. By this, we transform a must
into a wanting and connect to the flow of
life instead of blocking by inner resistance
that which we give the most energy and
endeavour.
Jesus has shown in many examples that
deserve our love the most: the sinners and
the excluded and not just those we like
anyway; the enemies we condemn and not
just the friends. There will always be people
in our lives with whom we have problems –
as colleagues or bosses, neighbour’s or
contemporaries from the media world.
Instead of judging these people according to
our immediate reaction which comes from
some superficial impression of them, we can
try to see their deeper core – a core which
makes them precious and unique beings,
equal to us in value and uniqueness. We just
need to connect to this core and all we judge
or dislike about them will become negligible
and unimportant.
We ought to expand our compassion beyond
the limitations of our habits and comfort;
this is the message of Jesus.
In these forms and exercises of expansion
which are the essence of love, we link the
mundane with the divine, or in other words,
we realize its inner entanglement: The
divine being nothing else as the mundane
and vice versa. (We do not perceive the
divine anywhere else than in this world;
even if God would appear to us, He would
do so in the world of visible things. And in
any other form in which we get into contact
with God or He with us, divine and
mundane meet.)

MY SISTER
What you mean to me,
Is more than I can express.
You see, I had no sister when I was little
To call when I was in distress.
When we first meet,
We had no clue,
What was getting ready to happen?
Was not completely out of the blue.
God had a plan,
Throughout all the years,
He was making us for each other,
To share life’s smiles and tears.
I never could have imagined,
What a sister’s love was about?
Until I met you,
And then I really found out.
A sister’s love is unconditional,
It’s a love has no end,
A sister’s love wants the best for each other,
It’s a love that will always defend.
Sometimes we may get mad,
Or we may begin to fight,
But that’s the fun part about having a sister,
We both think we’re always right!
I’m so glad that I did not have,
A sister in the past,
It’s made me much more thankful,
For the sister I have at last.

PARENTS
“One of the greatest title in the world
is Parents and one of the best blessing
is to have parents to call “mom” and
“dad” “.
When a new life emerges in this
world, when a baby is born who are
the people his little eyes glance at?
When he tries to stand whose support
does his tiny fingers take to take the
first step? Who helps a kid to grow?
They are PARENTS..!!
Presence of parents in one’s life is
the most important because they are
the one from whom we learn to speak
and thus begins our journey of life.
To be on a practical side, they always
try to fill in the generation gap.
Parents always try and understand the
feeling and the situations of their
children in every possible condition.
But on the other hand children think
that we are grownups and parents are
just over concerned.
They must consider that as his or her
age is increasing their parents age is
also increasing. Now it’s our time
take care of our parents and give them
all the happiness in the world. The
best thing a child can gift to their
parents is his/her achievements and a
successful life.
At last all I want to say is that love
your parents and respect them.

कुछ कतरे कैद हैं तालाबों में

E-Commerce in INDIA
In the last decade, India has made a name for itself as a tech player. But that
reputation, however well-deserved,are having a big effect on the development of
online commerce. For a start, Internet penetration is still very low, with only 8.4
percent of the population online.
Then there is India's great size, unpredictable logistics and creaky transport.
Bricks-and-mortar retailers, many of whom have cultivated rich and long-lasting
relationships with their customers, offer tough competition. And finally, 90 percent
of all retail transactions are conducted in cash; online works best with plastic or
electronic money. No wonder, e-commerce accounts for less than 1 percent of total
retail sales (compared to more than 4 percent in Brazil).
And yet… the opportunity is just too alluring to ignore. 80 per cent of current
Internet users say they are planning to shop online in the near future, for reasons
as varied as convenience and privacy (for items like lingerie). Moreover, India’s
online retailers are making progress. The e-commerce market has grown an
average of 34 per cent a year since 2005 and will continue to grow briskly for the
foreseeable future, reaching $2 billion in sales by 2015. By then, it is estimated
that India will have 38 million active online shoppers.
In a country of 1.3 billion people, that is still a drop in the bucket. But by any
standard, 38 million is an appetizingly big drop. Money is talking, too: In 2011,
investors poured $305 million into Indian e-commerce.

‘Random thought’
In Life, we come across so many people on a daily basis, find some Ugly, Sick, Intolerable, friendly and some, we just get so awed by. But at times we come across some Strangers who had never actually been Strangers, we feel they were just there with us, all this while we’ve lived here, they were never new..! We tend to connect with some , beyond this life, where 'The Talking , expression , need to make understand , The Effort' is not required , may be because the eyes do the talking and everything is there, just there , within "It" ! And this "It" is different, Strange, Unnamed and leave many thoughts, feelings and questions Unanswered! It's nice though, it’s Serene, Genuine, and it’s everything. still Nothing ! Human Feelings and Relations are both way weird, above head, so all we can do about certain things in life is “Do Nothing about it, than just let it is... and let it go ...!" Because this is how it was just meant to be! And In the End we sit, with some brilliant, fond, special memories, because this is all we are left with!! And Sit back, with a Happily Helpless Us. :) P.s- Just as the title speaks, It's very much, very Random!!

Why is it important to have goals in your life
If you are asked whether you should set some goals, then you can have only two
answers: yes or no.
If the answer is yes, then it is a very good
thing because most people are going to
spend a certain goal and the life you're in
even better Tahiti. If the answer is not on
this is of little concern. Just because you
have a goal, even if there is little soon to
deliberately set a goal for yourself what
Hanllcshy or are Goals? The goal is
something we intend to prove. Goal is a task
which we intend to accomplish. Some
examples are the ones who can be the target
of a student: "Final Exams marks bring more
than 80%." An employee may be aiming to
get promotion on basis of their performance.
May be the target of a house-wife: "Home
based business to the beginning. The target
can be pa blogger "to take your blog to the
page rank zero to three" may be the target of
an activist: "Creating a literate people of the
village"
Why is it important to have a goal?
1) to move in the right direction when you
leave home in the morning, you know where
you go and you'll be there, think of where
you go if you do not know what you do well
do? To wander around the same time will be
wasted. Similarly, in this life, even if you do
not set goals for yourself, your life will go
on when you see the back, so you might be
regretting that you did not achieve much!!
Target person has a right direction. Which
tells him that it is important for him to work
and which ones do not? If the goals clear to
him that we prepare ourselves. Our
Subconscious mind is to inspire us to act
accordingly. If the goal in mind to clear the
way for him to begin to see the clear and
humans move in the same direction would
increase.
2) the right to use its power: the Lord gave
the man a limited energy and limited time. Is
so important that we use it in the right way.
The goal is to inspire us to do just that. If
you keep your end-goal in mind when any
work is better than in that level of your
concentration and energy. For Example:
When you read a library book with no
particular purpose, are you simply take a
few books that turn their pages and read a
page load, you are supposed to meet any
Project Report are intended to mean that the
only books you choose and do your job. In
both cases you have more time in your
efficiency is the difference between heaven
and earth. Similarly, even if we face a
certain goal in life is not like that we keep
our energy waste and the result will yield
nothing. To the contrary, if we keep in mind
the goal of our energy use in the right place
and we will find the right results.
3) to be successful: the Ask him if he says I
Chahtalpr become a successful person when
you ask if he will consider himself a
successful person will be able to answer a
lot of people full of confidence. There are
different ways to success for everyone. And
it matters that are determined by the target.
If you have a goal, you can be successful in
the eyes of the other people that look at how
you yourself will decide whether you are
successful or not? The goal is to set your
watch by.

Keep Pedalling...
First I saw God as my observer, my judge
keeping track of the things I did wrong, so
as to know whether I merited heaven or hell
when I die. He was out there, sort of the
president. I recognized his pictures when I
saw it, but I didn’t really know Him. Later
on, when I recognized my higher point, it
seemed as though life was rather like a bike
ride… but, it was a tandem bike, and I
noticed that God was in the back letting me
pedal. I don’t know just when it was that He
suggested to me we change places, but life
has not been the same since…. Life with my
higher power, that is what makes life
exciting! When I had control, I knew the
way.
It was rather boring, but predictable. It was
the shortest distance between two points.
But when He took the lead, He knew
insightful long cuts, up mountains, and
through rocky places and at breakneck
speed. All I could do was to hang on.
Even though it looked like madness, He
said, ‘’have faith ‘’. Feeling worried and
anxious, I asked, ‘’where are you taking
me?’’ He laughed and didn’t answer, and I
started to learn to trust.
I let go off my boring life and entered into
the adventure, and when I said, ‘’I’m
scared’’, He leaned back and touched my
hand. He took me to people with gifts when
I needed, gifts of healing, acceptance and
joy. They gave me their gifts to take with me
on my journey….our journey.
God’s and mine and we’re off again. He
said,’’ Give the gifts away; they’re extra
baggage. Too much weight.’’ So I did, to the
people I met, and found that in giving, I
received, and still my burden was light. I did
not trust Him at first, in control of my life, I
thought He would wreaked it, but He knows
bike secrets. He knows how to make it bend
to sharp corners, jump to clear high passes,
and fly through shorter scary passages. I am
learning to shut up and pedal in the strangest
places, and I’ m beginning to enjoy the
view, and the cool breeze on my face, with
God as my pure light, as my constant source
of inner power. When I’m sure I just can’t
do any more, He smiles and says, ‘’ Just
Keep Pedalling’’.

"Women" may also refer to a person's gender instead of their sex. Women are typically
capable of
giving birth from puberty until menopause,
although some
sterile, intersex and/or transgender women
cannot. Throughout history women have
assumed various social roles.
In modern India, women have held high offices
in India including that of the President, Prime
Minister, Speaker of the Lok Sabha and Leader
of the Opposition.
There are very few texts specifically dealing with
the role of women an important exception is
the Stri Dharma Paddhati of Tryambakayajvan,
an official at Thanjavur c. 1730. The text
compiles
Strictures on women's behaviour dating back to
the Apastambasutra (c. 4th century BCE). The
opening verse goes:
Women in different parts of the world dress in
different ways, with their choices of clothing
being influenced by local culture, religious
tenets traditions, social norms, and fashion
trends, amongst other factors. Different societies
have different ideas about modesty. However, in
many jurisdictions, women's choices in regard to
dress are not always free, with laws limiting
what they may or may not wear. This is
especially the case in regard to Islamic dress.
Quotes on Women
Well-behaved women seldom make history. Woman is woman’s worst enemy.
Smart women love smart men more than smart men love smart women.
No nation can rise to the height of glory unless your women are side by side with you.
More countries have understood that women’s equality is a prerequisite for development.
Women who seek to be equal with men lack ambition.
Women are like teabags. We don’t know our true strength until we are in hot water!
Facts and Figure:
At the graduate level, women fill 40 percent of the doctorate degrees (31 percent of them being in
engineering). Out of the total human population, there are 101.3 men for every 100 women (source:
2001 World Almanac). Women were generally the gatherers of plant foods, small animal foods and fish,
while men hunted meat from large animals.
The CIA World Fact book presents an estimate from 2010 which shows that 80% of women are literate,
compared to 88.6% of men (aged 15 and over).
In October 2013, the global average of women in national assemblies was 22%.

Great Articles for Moms Mothers have lamented since the beginning of motherhood that children do not come with instructions or directions. So much of motherhood seems to involve guesswork and trial and error—mostly error, in some cases. Fortunately, modern mothers have access to a resource that those early mothers did not have: the Internet. More specifically, modern mothers now have access to this website, which will feature helpful, useful articles that will be written with mothers in mind. Moms no longer have to rely only on themselves and other mothers around them; they can now come to this website to read about multiple facets of motherhood and life after baby. The whirlwind of motherhood can sometimes make moms feel as if they do not have time to spend on themselves and their husbands. This website will feature useful articles that will help moms learn tips and methods of making time for everyone important in their lives. Beauty and personal care are still important to moms; just because a woman has children does not mean that she should feel guilty about taking the time and making the effort to look her best. Articles in the “Marriage and Romance” category will advise women on how to keep their relationships with their husbands strong after children. Just because a woman has a child does not mean that she cannot still spend time alone with her husband. Home improvement can be essential for mothers who want to make their houses better and more comfortable for their families. Modern women do not have to wait for men to make improvements to their homes; they can do the work themselves thanks to articles from this website. Not all home improvement jobs are heavy-duty; some women simply want to learn how to better decorate their homes. Many women enjoy some type of crafting and often have other hobbies as well. This website will feature articles about all different types of arts and crafts that women can do and can also talk about other hobbies outside of the
artistic realm. Hobbies can be a source of recreation and relaxation for women who are otherwise almost always on the go; moms who read the articles on this website may discover new and exciting hobbies that will bring happiness and pleasure into their lives. Shopping is a topic that is near and dear to many moms’ hearts; most women love shopping in some capacity and having children can make stretching out those dollars all the more important. Whether a mom is looking for tips about how to be a savvy shopper or whether she wants to know about where and how to find the best deals, this website will provide her with ideas about how to be a better shopper. Motherhood can be daunting and, at times, overwhelming, but the modern mother now has a new tool at her disposal that will give her guidance and tips about how to have a better life and to be a better mom. Finding free time can be difficult for mothers regardless of the ages of their children, but taking the time to read these.

I still remember a phone call received –
“Indira has introduced 2 new batches, so it’s
an opportunity” and there I was the next day
enjoying the view of the campus, suited up
with a colorful CV mentioning only First
Class and shameful percentile in CAT |
MAT , all ready for an interview. That 30
minutes of the Interview poured gallons of
Red Bulls in me and I was offered the seat in
the bus driving to a new journey called
MBA.
The 1st day at the campus – very positive
and highly excited to experience a new
ambience with beautiful faces and no
acquaintances around. The world turned
upside down when I entered the class room
– OMG (is this my class room? Are you
serious?) what a disappointment !!
As the pages on the calendar flipped, a new
sculpture was being carved by the faculties
in me. Started enhancing my skills to run the
race Thunderbird style. Grabbed all the
positives, looked at opportunities before
they became obvious and soon became the
champion in the Talent Hunt to ensure that
the college remembers my name. That was
the 1st opportunity I saw and now the
campus knew who KARAN KAPOOR is.
Presentations, debates, group discussions
became motivating catalysts and I obtained
my confidence from these small little lanes
where generally all other colleagues used to
sit back, relax and just applaud at the end of
the presentation. Wanted to seize every
opportunity that’s comes my way – and was
bestowed the title of The Convenor | Mr.
Fundoo (a dream of every Indiraite) and
then Mr. Pumba.
Was never fond of reading, never studied
but was completely updated and all I wanted
is that beam of content and confidence to sit
on the hot seat in front of the panel and
crack any interview. 1st Company on the
campus – Central, Future Group. I was
grilled like a barbecue in a cafeteria and
after the interview realized that at least 30
people looking at my face and saying – Iski
to Lag gayi !! Next day in the evening I
receive a confirmation call and I was offered
to the Marketing Manager of 90,000 sq ft
infrastructure. What a sense of achievement
to know that I was the 1st out of more than
7-8000 students to receive a placement in
the corporates.
In my professional career what actually
helped me the most are the moc interviews,
faculties, quotes, debates, presentations and
ofcourse the platforms that were offered to
me. Today I am designated as Sr. Manager
Marketing – Seasons Mall, Magarpatta City
(20Lakh Sq Ft Infrastructure) and proud to
be what I am today, and so is my family.
I always believed in the phrase “Have a
dream and bend every energy in reaching it,
because even the stone on the road steps
aside for a person who knows where he is
going”
Generally students reading this will feel that
this is scripted to motivate them – believe
me this not bribed nor enforced. Thank you
for letting me share and making me feel
capable enough to canvas my story

ARE WE MAKING THE MOST OF IT??????????????
All of us have worked our way to secure an admission in a good business school. BUT ARE WE MAKING THE MOST OF IT?
There are a few things to be kept in mind while you are at the school to make the most of it:
PARTICIPATE: Remember that you are a student and participation in
class helps
MAKE FRIENDS: Having friends from varied backgrounds helps to gain
knowledge about various fields.
JOIN: All work and no play make Jack a dull boy. Joining extracurricular
activities will help you strike a balance between academics and personal
life.
ATTEND TO LEARN: Don’t attend only for getting good grades or for
mandatory requirements like fulfilling attendance norms. Attend to learn.
EXPLORE: Do explore all the options available. We all have come with a
certain view in mind. But it’s always a good option to try new things.
RESPECT: Most of the people you come in contact with in the school
have some or the other time been in your shoes. Go well prepared for
lectures, guest sessions and interviews to have a conversation and tell
them what you have prepared for.
STOP CRIBBING: Stop cribbing all the time. It will not lead you
anywhere. Especially don’t crib about not getting a desired summer
internship. You still have a great chance to get the same full time job
GIVE YOUR BEST: In all the activities you do, ensure to give your best
and learn from it.
SPEAK: If there is something that’s making you feel uncomfortable,
SPEAK. No question is a stupid question.
STAY CONNECTED: Stay well connected with all the people you come
across in the school (Whether you like them or not). All these are a part
of the priceless professional network.
The bottom line is
IT’S YOUR MONEY, DON’T WASTE IT.
MAKE THE MOST OF IT

Knowledge Sharing in Education Sector
In ISBS, we, the faculty members strongly
believe in the concept of knowledge sharing.
We foster the idea of sharing new ideas and
concept across all specialized areas. We
have created FTP area where everyone can
share their ideas and views. We developed
blogs on our website where people can state
their opinions on the current affairs and
create general awareness. We also share the
events and knowledge on ISBS Facebook
page.
With reference to this, let’s try and
understand the significance of knowledge
sharing in Education Sector.
To advance the standards of all the
educational institutions and to develop the
performance of students in all faculties by
which the growth of a nation can be viewed,
innovative knowledge management is a
must. Knowledge management refers to a
variety of practices used by institutions to
identify the higher levels of innovations in
education. The sharing of knowledge in
industry, colleges, universities and almost
any institution means capturing the
knowledge and allotting it for the betterment
of the Sector. By developing the knowledge
management system, the nation’s economy
increases and can compete in the global
scenario.
Be it Education Sector or any other
Corporate Sector, focusing on the continual
development of employee knowledge is an
important step to take if they hope to stay
competitive in the ever-changing global
business environment. This becomes even
more important for Education Sector as it is
becoming global and it produces the future
designers of the world. One successful way
institutions can stay competitive is to help
maintain a high level of knowledge and
understanding among their faculty members
and students.
There is a growing consensus that the
effective and productive management of
knowledge is a critical factor for the success
of an institution. Knowledge is the most
valuable strategic resource that requires
renewal continuously. Yet not many
Educational Institutes have started building
their capacity to manage knowledge. It is
important to build the knowledge-based
institution and leverage knowledge to
increase effectiveness and quality of
education; in a nutshell to improve the
performance of Education Sector.
Colleges and universities have significant
opportunities to apply knowledge
management practices to support every part
of their mission—from education to public
service to research. Knowledge management
should not strike education sector as a
radically new idea; rather, it is a new spin on
their raison. But implementing knowledge
management practices wisely is a lesson that
the smartest institutions in Education Sector
are learning all over again. It is hoped that
Educational institutions will utilize the
‘knowledge management’ concept to
achieve more effective knowledge creation
and sharing and by adopting a more rigorous
and standardized knowledge management
framework, Education Sector can improve
the quality of Education.
As correctly said by Ron Sanchez in his
paper “Knowledge management and
Institutional learning”, institutions have to
be alert to the need to create and sustain a
dynamic cognitive equilibrium between
processes for applying and extending
yesterday’s knowledge (for example,
Through use of established control systems)
and adapting the knowledge base of the
Institution to meet today’s and tomorrow’s
competitive conditions.
Over and above, education plays a prime
role in achieving the development in any
sector. Currently, education helps to mold
the personnel into potent managers or
professionals having skills and expertise. To
realize the real potential in Indian Education
sector, it is necessity to manage the sector
like a professional enterprise and effort
should be put-in to overcome the challenges
and issues faced by Education Sector in the
Management of Knowledge.
