Consulting Geologist
SUMMARY
The property consists of 21 contiguous, unpatented mining claims located in Swayze and Deneyes Townships.
The property is underlain by mafic to felsic flows, tuffs, and pyroclastic rocks.

rINTRODUCTION
The following report was prepared at the request of Mr. G. Magnotich. The report is based on the author's visit to the property, published and unpublished geological maps and reports, and assessment work files located in the Timmins office of the Ontario Dept. of Mines.
The purpose of the report is to evaluate the exploration potential of the property, summarize the geophysical data, and to recommend an exploration program to further evaluate the property.

PROPERTY t PREVIOUS WORK
Gold was discovered in the Swayze volcanic complex in 1951 near Brett Lake in Swayze Township. The following decade saw much prospecting in this district mainly in Deneyes and Swayze Townships. Various individuals have held the property and records of assessment work are abundant. Exploration work has centered around trenching and blasting for gold.
Airborne electromagnetic and magnetic surveys utilizing various systems have been completed over the property on numerous occasions during the period of 1964- to 1977.
PROPERTY, GEOLOGY
Mafic to felsic flows, tuffs, and pyroclastic rocks predominate and strike east across the property. Mafic flows of basalt to andesitic composition are massive to schistose, pillowed, amygdaloidal, porphyritic, and tuffacious. Felsic volcanic rocks of dacite, ryodacite, and rhyolite composition are- equigranular to porphyritic, massive to schistose, and tuffaceous to pyroclastic.
Outcrops of sedimentary rocks consisting of quartzite, arkose, and greywacke were found along the shores of Swayze Lake.
Overburden depth varies from 10 to 50 feet.

GEOPHYSICS, SURVEY INSTRUMENTS
A direct reading Barringer Proton Magnetometer was used to measure the total magnetic field to an accuracy of ^1 gamma. A V.L.P. Geonics EM-16 unit was used to measure the inphase and quadrature components of the electromagnetic field. The V.L.P. transmitter station used was Cutler, Maine. A McPhar V.H.E.M. unit was used to confirm the V.L.P. anomalous responses.
GEOPHYSICS, SURVEY RESULTS
Three conductive zones have been interpreted from the V.L.P. results. These are designated zones A, B and C. All zones were confirmed using a McPhar V.H.E.M. unit.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS-
Three valid bedrock conductors were located in an area of mafic and felsic volcanic rocks. Shallow overburden conditions would allow testing them using a small portable drill. The following test holes are recommended:
Zone A L24W - 4-N 1 azim:grid N;dip 50Zone B LJ6W - 9S 1 azim:grid S;dip 5QZone C L28W - 16N' azimigrid N;dip 50
Respectfully submitted.
Peter T. Gerge, P. Eng., Consulting Geologist.

Notice of Intent to be issued:
Q Credits have been reduced because of partial coverage of claims.
O Credits have been reduced because of corrections to work dates and figures of applicant.
d No credits have been allowed for the following mining claims as they were not sufficiently covered by the survey:
NOTE: Mining Claim P. 500724 was only partly
traversed therefore this one claim is being allowed
only 20 days electromagnetic and 10 days
magnetometer assessment credits.
The Mining Recorder may reduce the above credits if necessary in order that the total number of approved assessment days recorded on each claim does not exceed the maximum allowed as follows: Geophysical — 80; Geological — 40; Geochemical — 40;
