Passenger Vehicle Transportation

Passenger Vehicle Transportation(PVT)

•PVT is an MVC initiative being implemented to provide a clearer picture to the public and law enforcement of the businesses or entities that use motor vehicles (buses) that carry passengers as part of their daily activities which are considered non-traditional passenger vehicles.

•Traditional PVT vehicles include commercial buses, school buses, taxicabs and limousines.

•To identify non-traditional PVT vehicles, the MVC will be issuing specialized license plates which denote the type of service the vehicle provides.

•These vehicles are ambulances, hotel buses, jitneys, mobility assistance vehicles, paratransit vehicles and taxicabs.
