• Solar Cell Whitening : to be closed• FM Solar cell whitening was found after
thermal cycling (-160℃ ~ 180℃) in vacuum. • Has been regarded as the most critical
item. • Cell whitening was caused by the pealing
of anti-reflector coating from cell.• Cell whitening broadened when the cell is
exposed to the air after testing. In vacuum condition, whitening expands only during first heat-up cycle but not later.

Cell whitening observed where the thickness of the glue(DC93-500) is less than 40um

• Currently degradation of power generation due to the cell whitening is less than 1%. • Worst case analysis shows degradation
of power generation at EOL is 11% which is lower than the budget (17%).
→ Use as is.

• MMO Telemetry data at ESA/ESTEC and CSG will be delivered through MMO data distribution server at ISAS.
